I really wish soap rivalries with female characters didn't have to come with all this slut shaming, it legitimately makes me very uncomfortable watching because I don't think the writers realize how misogynistic it really actually is to call a woman a slut or a whore as an insult simply because you don't like her. Of all the things wrong with this show, it's stuff like this that makes me unable to watch, because on the one hand Days wants you to think they're sooo open-minded and progressive because, look, they ship WilSon! But they'll keep thinking it's okay to slut-shame women with no narrative acknowledgement that it is sexist (because it is).
I give the writers a pass because it's so common. Seriously, I see it all the time. And the women don't think like that: that it's misogynistic or wrong. So why should the Days characters? It's not slut-shaming in their eyes; it's not sexist. It's just calling someone a name. I don't think it would be in character for someone (other than Marlena, maybe) to take exception to this insult.
