I'm more of an early days of TV fan than a soap fan, but I liked what I saw of this site and figure this is as good a place as any to post this. A couple of weeks ago I came across a 10/23/53 episode of Hawkins Falls. The first person who appears in the opening scene is Millie Flagle, portrayed by Ros Twohey. She struck me as the classic 1950's actress (clothing, hairstyle, etc.), and so, while I had never heard of her before this, I wanted to know more about her and her career. Outside of an Radio-TV Mirror article written by Ros in 1952 entitled "I'm Going To Have A Baby", which amongst other things said that her pregnancy was written into the show, making her the 2nd TV actress that I know of after Lucy to have that happen, I can't find another thing. It's hard to imagine that someone who was a main character on a serial that lasted 4 years (and is claimed to be the first successful soap on network TV) never did anything else in TV or radio. So I ask for help here. I don't imagine Ros is alive, but if anyone of you knows more about her life and career, that info would be greatly appreciated.
