Ari did say in an interview that Eric won't be able to stop himself from being with Nicole (I'm paraphrasing) and it wasn't her (Nicole's) doing entirely....so I do wonder if that drug has that affect on Eric...which is really sad as i wanted him to start having these feelings a long time ago and showing them to us..while he struggles with the fact he's a priest and can't act on them....no need for a drug here....just good writing....but I'll take whatever I get at this point with Ericole.
If this is what happens, it would make me sad for Nicole. Can't a guy want to be with her without said guy being drugged, being a rebound, keeping a secret from her, or secretly pining away for Jennifer Horton?
I really don't want to see this happen either. I want to see Eric falling for Nicole because he just can't help it. Not because some drug has made him horny.
The only silver lining is that if it does play out that drugged up Eric winds up seducing her, I trust AZ to play it for all the hurt and layered pathos in the situation.

I truly do wonder if TPTP recognize how rootable Nicole is. Yes, she's done plenty wrong in the past but she is on this major redemption arc and AZ's doing a good job.

And in the wider scheme of things, I've decided that if the redemption is robust enough and the actor is good enough, I'm going to forgive any character pretty much anything for the sake of enjoying the show. The Days writers do have a habit of painting themselves in a corner and then flailing around trying to undo it. If this is a moral universe where Stefano can hang out in the town square and EJ and Rafe can have civilized conversation - anything goes.
