I'm still waiting for that one article that puts daytime and primetime both under the microscope and compares the audience declines in both. Soaps got weak, no denying that, but network primetime audiences have done so as well. I'd love to see how it all relates (or doesn't), in terms of percentage declines. |
Still- good for soaps. I feel like they've done this without much new advertising (least not that I've noticed), which means they had some strong brand name value. I'm also curious...as baby boomers retire, is that a factor in increasing ratings at all? Do they go back to names they may remember from years ago?
Love this kind of stuff, for some odd reason.
