i know that she's worn her own clothes on the show before. for example, the super-pale pink shirt with the black sleeves, her Christmas 2012 outfit, the red dress Hope wore to Nick & Gabi's wedding - they're all pieces that Kristian bought while in Toronto doing her jewelry shows.

See, this is why I'm looking forward to Richard Bloore's return. The characters' clothes are all over the place! Kristen, who is trying to suck up to the bishop, is in something lacy and revealing. Nicole, who usually dresses way too revealing for her job, is in an extremely conservative dress. Marlena, who ostensibly owns 10,000 pantsuits, has apparently decided fluorescent yellow is right for this occasion. And a nun is wearing a short skirt and see through hose. Are they all going to a club or a fashion show at Bloomingdales or a library? Each occasion needs a wardrobe theme or direction - which also makes it obvious when a character is deviating from it. No one since Bloore has done that at all.
and while all these wardrobe clusterfucks exist, Hope still looks flawless! lol.
(sorry, had to add...)
In the last couple of years there have been some atrocious wardrobe choices for all of the adults with Hope being the only exception.I don't recall any hideous choices for her in hair, makeup,or wardrobe. It makes one wonder if Kristian was the only one to put her foot down when it came to her character.
I've been wanting to ask about that! Why IS it that she almost always looks nice, even while the others look terrible (wardrobe-wise)? Does Kristian pick out her own wardrobe?
i think she's also quite hands-on when it comes to Hope's wardrobe. This vid's from 2007 (as evidenced by the hair cut), but i doubt much has changed since then:
