I'm not criticizing her for being happy about having a "storyline"...I am criticizing her for pumping up her material to make it sound like it is going to be some big story when in reality no big story EVER follows...she has done that in the past and it has amounted to nothing.

Quoting limited to 4 levels deep
wrt the Theresa tweet, we did see Hope care about Theresa in the pub scenes after Vargas' arrest. And a few people did tweet Kristian in response to her tweet that it didn't seem that they cared based on yesterday's episode. We do have to remember that they shoot 4 months in advance, & maybe yesterday's complete ignorance of Theresa was a one-off thanks to a terrible breakdown & scriptwriting.
The scriptwriting and breakdowns have been ATROCIOUS the last 3 episodes...I'll give you that.
I am just stating that Kristian's twitter is nothing more than fluff...she has not be able to back up one single of her show propping tweets yet.
She KNOWS her fans are in the dumps and absolutely HATE the show and have for a long time...and I know she is trying to sell the show to them and keep them watching...but there is simply no follow through at all when it comes to actual show material.
I love Hope and am appalled at what the show has done to her character...back in the 90's and 2000's, not a person anywhere could have lead me to believe that her character could be stuck in the position she has been for the last few years.
I actually think that Hope has been written pretty well over the last year, as a general overview. We haven't seen a lot of her, which is unfortunate, but most of the time we've seen her, she's been strong, independent, happy to lend an ear, giving advice that isn't simply propping, etc. It's just this last arc with Theresa that's got Hope all OOC.
At the end of the day, I can't blame the woman for being ecstatic about having a storyline. And as a fan of hers, I'm happy she's enjoying it and excited about what comes next for her character.
The characterization of Hope has been acceptable...she has for the most part been in-character...but she has no storyline...she is simply a pop-up character. She has been reduced to the "token town cop" "lending advice" "crying shoulder" character...that is simply not acceptable for a character like Hope...and doesn't fall in line with what Kristian has been promoting in her tweets.
I also don't see how she can be happy with material like that...she has NO storyline at all and has been passed over by Alison Sweeney, Eileen Davidson, Arianne Zucker and Melissa Reeves as one of the female leads of the show. She is barely in a supporting role at this point. Hell even Kate Mansi, Lauren Koslow and Jen Lilley have storylines.
I just want to see some substance and if there is none, then for KA to stop giving her fans false hope that we will ever see her in a "A" story again. She is losing credibility with me every time she props the material 4 months in advance and then we see nothing on screen or end up with a "Rafe 2.0" or "Nighttime Hope" situation.
