I thought yesterday's episode was kinda boring if it wasn't for the brilliance that are Eric and Nicole. I agree with Lysie that the scenes reminded me of when Lucas found Sami in bed with Brandon and believed that she had cheated on him. The history of Nicole's wrongdoings was used very much to remind her that she could be capable of doing very awful things....I liked that exchange between them. And like the Lumi scene in 2005 when Lucas walked out of the room and doubted his accusation of Sami for a second there because she 'wasn't a cheater'....you could tell when Nicole told Eric that she did know what he felt because she had been a victim of sexual abuse too and for those reasons she would never do something like that, he looked like finally SOMETHING broke through to him and although he didn't actually say it out loud, GV played it that for a second there he actually had a smidgen of doubt of what he had accused her of doing.|
Love these two, love the way they are writing them, they are seriously the only good, solid thing this show has at the moment. They are the only two character that haven't been written generically....and aren't interchangeable with the others on canvas. Lysie and I were talking about this on twitter yesterday. The show needs SOMETHING, it's just too predictable, and predictability leads to boring....I agreed with her that the cast is way too stable, that for the past couple of years, the only cast changes are the ones that were brought on by writing changes....that is not good on a soap....I don't mind stability, but the stories are boring....that is what makes Ericole so exciting to me.....and the only thing that I really have to look forward to...aside from Lucas getting more airtime of course....
