I agree about what he wants. There was a recent interview where he talked about a deal falling through when he realized Days pretty much just wanted him to appear on the 50th anniversary. I think he did the right thing walking away instead of staying and letting his displeasure show on screen.

"@GailKline: Are you ever coming back to Salem... I miss you." doesn't look like it. But you might see me someplace else later this year:)https://twitter.com/peterreckell/status/412633726732886016
...and the slight flip-flopping continues. A few days ago, he replied to someone who was saying that miracles do happen. I'm not sure why he's pushing this "never gonna happen" tone though. Even if it's been written that Bo's dead & Peter heard this, there's no absolution that Bo can't return. & I don't think that Ken would forever keep Bo & Hope apart. He's the one who originally decided that Bo wouldn't die (& my theory is still that he suspected that he & Peter would be able to work something out).
I suspect that as long as Peter doesn't have something else for people to talk about, he'll keep teasing or shooting down people tweeting him about Bo & returning.
My guess is that he doesn't think he and Days will ever offer him the kind of deal he wants.
Well, my impression is that he wants a deal like Ali, James, Shawn, or Missy have - always front & center, always have a story or are a big part of someone else's. He doesn't just want to be supporting cast with the occasional storyline.
On the one hand, I can't blame him. On the other, I think he needs to realize that he's not as young as he used to be. (& yes, i know that that argument point is a bit odd considering all the Fetch-ness of this past year. though i bet that has more to do with Tomlin liking SC than anything else.)
