I found this rumor on twitter today:
For 2014 #DAYS, Ken Corday and Greg Meng are contemplating reimagining the soap telenovela-style, with 2-year plans for characters, with stories stopping and starting, woven in and out over time, and not straightforward -shorter story arcs. Something Eileen is considering.
That rumor leads back to this page:

I actually don't hate that idea.
I don't hate the idea, but I seriously doubt the validity of that post, lol.
Everything said in that post was true, except for the Eileen part. I just read it in this week's SOD and there is no mention of Eileen's name.
I guess that last sentence was the poster's personal opinion based on what ED's said in her interviews. (However, the author knows it better, maybe she/he will explain it as she/he is a member of this board if I recall correctly).

I think, GH is doing something like that but idk if it could be called "soap telenovela" style. This has to be something more "radical".

And what does it mean - for 2014? They've already taped nearly half of the 2014. Are they saying they do it in that manner or are they just contemplating? If contemplating - it won't air until 2017. However, it could be interesting - maybe it would mean less filler scenes, less character propping ad so.
