UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. – June 6, 2013 – “Days of our Lives” has attracted its biggest women 18-49 audience in 18 months and generated its top total-viewer result in more than two years, according to “live plus same day” viewing figures for the week of May 27-31 from Nielsen Media Research.
For the week, "Days of our Lives" averaged a 1.0 rating, 7 share among women 18-49 and a 0.6 rating among women 18-34, tying it for #4 among network daytime series in the women 18-49 demographic and tying it for #3 in the women 18-34 race. Note that Monday results are excluded from the week’s averages due to the Memorial Day holiday.
"Days" generated its biggest women 18-49 audience (645,000) in the last 18 months (since the week of November 21-25, 2011, 703,000). In total viewers, "Days'" 2.827 million persons last week was the show's biggest overall audience in more than two years (since the week of January 31-February 4, 2011, 3.030 million).
For the week versus the same week last year, "Days of our Lives" was up 21% in the women 18-34 race (193,000 vs. 160,000), up 28% in the women 18-49 demographic (645,000 vs. 504,000), up 34% in the women 25-54 race (824,000 vs. 616,000) and up 18% in total viewers (2.8 million vs. 2.4 million).
For the second quarter to date, "Days of our Lives" is up 6% in the women 18-49 category (644,000 vs. 609,000), up 10% in the women 25-54 demo (822,000 vs. 745,000) and up 5% in total viewers (2.6 million vs. 2.5 million).
Season to date, "Days of our Lives" is tied for #4 in the women 18-49 category and tied for #3 in the women 18-34 demo. Season to date, “Days” is up 3% in total viewers (2.7 million vs. 2.6 million).

NEW YORK, NY, June 5, 2013— HLN, the host network of the annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy® Awards show, now in its 40th year, presented live from The Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 16, 8-10 p.m., ET/PT, today announces ABC’s Good Morning America’s Sam Champion along with HLN’s own A.J. Hammer and Robin Meade to host this year’s landmark awards show.
Additionally, Kathy Griffin, Rachael Ray, Dr. Drew Pinsky, Erica Slezak, Kristen Alderson, Nancy Lee Grahn, Lindsey Morgan, Freddie Smith, the ladies of “The Talk” including Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne, Sara Gilbert, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood, Jason Thompson, Chandler Massey and Jacqueline MacInnes Wood have also been confirmed to present. Teen powerhouse Italian Opera trio – IL Volo is confirmed to perform their hit song, "Mas Que Amor" during the “In Memoriam” tribute.
This year’s host Sam Champion is the weather anchor of ABC’s “Good Morning America” (M-F, 7-9 a.m. ET) and also serves as weather editor for ABC News. In addition to reporting the national forecast, Champion frequently travels to weather-related stories around the country and globe. Most recently he reported from Moore, Oklahoma after the devastating tornado. Champion is at the forefront of reporting on the environment and climate change. He also hosts “Sea Rescue,” a half-hour weekly television series broadcast nationally on Saturday mornings.
Meade, host of HLN’s “Morning Express with Robin Meade” (M-F, 6-10 a.m. ET) and accomplished country artist will sing both best song nominees, “This Day” by Sheryl Crow for “Katie,” and “Good Afternoon” by Little Big Town for “Good Afternoon America.” Her sophomore album “Count On Me” (June 12, 2013 iTunes & Target) comes after her musical debut "Brand New Day" (2011) reached #24 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart and won strong praise for the alto.
A.J. Hammer, host of HLN’s “Showbiz Tonight” (M-Th, 11 p.m.– midnight ET), has also been tapped to host this year’s LIVE red carpet special “Showbiz @ The Daytime Emmys” along with HLN’s Christi Paul where they will get one-on-one interviews with the evening’s biggest stars including Rachael Ray, Wayne Brady, Monty Hall, Sharon Osbourne, Julie Chen, Sheryl Underwood, Aisha Tyler, Sara Gilbert and daytime TV show newcomer Kris Jenner. Meade will host "Morning Express with Robin Meade" live from the Beverly Hilton on Monday, June 17, and will be joined by A.J. for a Daytime Emmy's wrap up, and "Weekend Express with Natasha Curry" will also originate from LA and provide a Daytime Emmy's preview.
Previously announced presenters include some of the biggest names in television, past, present and future including Steve Harvey, Betty White, Wayne Brady, Alex Trebek, Todd Newton and the newest additions to daytime TV, Bethenny Frankel and Kris Jenner. 'DAYS OF OUR LIVES' MATCHES ITS BIGGEST WOMEN 18-49 VIEWERSHIP IN 18 MONTHS
UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. – May 31, 2013 – “Days of our Lives” has equaled its biggest women 18-49 audience in 18 months and set an 11-week high in total viewers, according to “live plus same day” viewing figures for the week of May 20-24 from Nielsen Media Research.
For the week, "Days of our Lives" averaged a 1.0 rating, 6 share among women 18-49 and a 0.6 rating among women 18-34, tying it for #4 among network daytime series in the women 18-49 demographic and tying it for #3 in the women 18-34 race.
"Days" equaled its biggest women 18-49 audience (634,000) since the week of November 21-25, 2011 (703,000). "Days" also averaged 634,000 women 18-49 during the week of January 14-19, 2013. In total viewers, "Days'" 2.513 million persons for the week was the show's biggest overall audience since the week of March 4-8 (2.563 million).
For the week versus the same week last year, "Days of our Lives" was up 14 percent in the women 18-34 race (200,000 vs. 175,000), up 32 percent in the women 18-49 demographic (634,000 vs. 480,000), up 34 percent in the women 25-54 race (788,000 vs. 590,000) and up 10 percent in total viewers (2.513 million vs. 2.294 million).
For the second quarter to date, "Days of our Lives" is up 3 percent in the women 18-49 category (632,000 vs. 611,000), up 8 percent in the women 25-54 demo (807,000 vs. 748,000) and up 3 percent in total viewers (2.6 million vs. 2.5 million).
Season to date, "Days of our Lives" is tied for #4 in the women 18-49 category and tied for #3 in the women 18-34 demo. Season to date, “Days” is up 2 percent in total viewers (2.7 million vs. 2.6 million).
Ratings reflect “live plus same day” data from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of “live plus seven day” data except for the two most recent weeks, which are “live plus same day.”

On Memorial Day, Monday May 27, some of the Daytime soap operas will not be seen.
ABC's "General Hospital" will air a repeat of its April 2, 2013 50th Anniversary episode.
CBS' "The Bold And The Beautiful" and "The Young And The Restless" will air new episodes.
NBC's "Days Our Lives" will not be seen, due to The French Open.
So far Hulu will air a new "All My Children" online episode as planned.
ABC's "General Hospital" will air a repeat of its April 2, 2013 50th Anniversary episode.
CBS' "The Bold And The Beautiful" and "The Young And The Restless" will air new episodes.
