I totally couldn't see what was going on with that prison escape or whatever. I understand it's night time but that doesn't mean they can't light it up so I can actually see what's happening.

Who did Eduardo attack?

So, Belle couldn't wait a day, a single DAY, before leaving? So she could go to Brady's wedding? Why?

I forgot that Eduardo was even on this show. They better not drag Rafe or any other Herndandez into this Orpheus story. It has nothing to do with them and it would totally ruin it.
Just like they helped suck the life out of John's past storyline.

I really enjoy Brandon Beemer as Shawn.

I would so much rather see Shawn struggle to prove himself as a detective while the people around him side-eye him for suspected nepotism and raise his teenage daughter and interact with his mother/sister/cousins than follow Belle to Hong Kong because she had a whim.

Dena's distaste for Shawn and Belle is ugh.
YES to ALL of this! I didn't care for Beemer the first time, and it was nice seeing JC again in a nostalgic way but BB is my Shawn now.

Brady is so damn gullible.

Yeah, they should have had Brady be the one that got shot, and after surgery and a coma he wakes up with the personality of the Brady that married Chloe.
I feel like there has to be something between bratty singing misogynist and unmitigated idiocy. I want to keep aspects of EM's Brady: his willingness to embrace the twins as his siblings, his ability to forgive (within reason), his apparent lack of interest in butchering showtunes. I'd just like him to break out of the rut of being manipulated by a different woman every other year and direct a modicum of suspicion at his crime lord grandfather when warranted.
LOL! Eh, on him accepting the twins as his sibs... That hardly matters when he still ignores Marlena's existence, still calls her Marlena when he bumps into her once in a blue moon. And eh, on his ability to forgive.. It took him forever to forgive John, and didn't do it until his girlfriend put him in a coma.

Okay, just saw the scene and Eduardo did NOT attack Orpheus, it was some random guy that just happened to be on the same transport. He had a scruffy beard so definitely wasn't Orpheus! Thank goodness!
Whew! :sweet:

Yes, I had to rewind the scene to figure out who Eduardo was attacking. It was another inmate that was with them. When Eduardo attacked the inmate, then Orpheus attacked the driver which caused the accident and their escape. I doubt (at least at this point) Orpheus will have any involvement with the Hernandi. Although, I would not be opposed to Eduardo having a past with him as well.

It was rare but there a few moments when KL-Brady did actually refer to Sami as his sister. I remember when Tony (Andre) returned in 2002, Brady was concerned with how he trying to manipulate both Belle and Sami and he warned Tandre to stop messing with his "sisters". I believe we actually discussed these scenes in dept at 2C lol.

It matters bigtime to me, lol. Yes, it would be my preference for him to be in J/M's orbit and acting like they are his parents, because they, you know, are. But pushing the reset button to eliminate the bromance with Eric and have him make fun of Sami when she cries over missing her small child makes Brady a vastly less interesting and rootable person to me.

I actually liked today's episode, mainly for the focus of Belle and Shawn's exit and the escape. I loved her conversation with Shawn, and how they were emotional with her departure, his initial decision to not go. They had Belle say goodbye to John/Marlena and a final goodbye with Claire. Claire/Shawn's convo was good, too, and I loved how Shawn showed up at the end to go with her. Many beats played there in one episode.

I also really liked the escape, and was shocked to see Eduardo on the transport van, and I liked how everyone, from Victor, John and Roman (and Brady's call from Victor) got phone calls to alert them of the escape most likely.

I feel the change in more beats being hit with the writing, and that makes me happy. I wasn't expecting much with the ending of the kidnapping story, so I really don't care how it ended as long as it did end.

Good episode today but the scenes in the prison transport van were far too dark. It was hard to make out anything. At first I thought Eduardo had attacked Xander and I was thinking that's kind of stupid. Thankfully the next scene I got enough of a glimpse of the guy's face to realise he was just random prisoner. Eduardo being in the van was a nice twist though. Now I see how he inadvertently responsible for the escape of Orpheus, Clyde and Xander.

Brady buying Vic's story was almost as stupid as Brady believing Victor was responsible for Tate's kidnapping after Vic repeatedly and vehemently denied his accusations. Roman showing up and tying the pieces together made it more plausible. Vic and Deimos did a damn good job of covering for Kate. They left no stone unturned.

Theresa smiling at Victor - what universe did we suddenly travel to!

So nice to John and Marlena together and talking about their wedding! LOL at John's remark 'What a wedding in Salem be like without a surprise!'

So it appears that news of the prison break travelled fast. Looking forward to tomorrow's episode.

Who did Eduardo attack?
He attacked a random inmate who happened to be in the transport van, saying something along the lines of never to go after his family again. When he attacked him, then Orpheus took the distraction to attack the driver.

Yeah, that sounds like something we would discuss in depth. ;) I also remember a lot of analysis before EM started airing when Victor revealed that he had kidnapped Brady to get him into treatment and Sami was all relieved/happy/bubbly and wanted Brady transferred somewhere closer to Salem. What the heck? Do Sami and Brady like each other now?

And since Sami morphed into something quite hard to tolerate those last few years... I do give the current incarnation of Brady a lot of credit for being able to brush off her antics and hypocritical screaming fits with " yeah, well, that's my sister." Not that Sami was wrong when she wanted Brady's mouth disinfected after he kissed Kristen (heh) but she wasn't precisely coming from a place of credibility while shacked up with EJ...

Yes, please Orpheus rid me of the freak fake Roman ASAP!!!

Who is Nikolas and Stavros and why does Brady know them?
My thoughts exactly! For a minute I thought he was talking about Stavros Cassadine from General Hospital.

Marlena trying to cheer John up about belle leaving by talking about them being happy for Brady today made me laugh. It's weird because we never see J&M and Brady but when they talk they make it sound like they're a family. But for some reason we're only allowed to see him with Victor.

Oh, that was ridiculous for so many reasons. "Hey! Our awesome daughter is leaving but at least our son who is never acknowledged as our son is marrying the woman who tried to kill you!" I was glad John refused to toast the twit.

I could have accepted it if they'd made a conscious decision to pretend to be supportive and give Brady enough rope to hang himself this time since actively trying to save him from his own stupidity with Kristen worked out for no one. But the way that played out was just weird.
