This pregnancy story is the dumbest thing ever. I don't care about it one bit. I don't like Deimos and never will and I resent that he is getting so much screen time.
I think you resent that he's getting any screen time because he's really not getting that much. Which is fine with me even though I don't hate him. I'm glad the last couple of weeks have focues on Orpheus and John and Marlena. I don't like Deimos and Nicole, but I just don't see Deimos getting an amazing amount of screen time that is unreasonable in relation to other characters.
I don't care about this pregnancy story either. It's underdeveloped, they didn't make me care. Even if the baby were Philip's or Brady's.
I quite liked Deimos when he started but this current "saint" version annoys me.

Anyway, this works fine. Honey, you look horrific.

It is possible that Chloe could be diagnosed with a false pregnancy. "False pregnancy, clinically termed pseudocyesis, is the belief that you are expecting a baby when you are not really carrying a child. People with pseudocyesis have many, if not all, symptoms of pregnancy -- with the exception of an actual fetus."

Or maybe the cancer story will be Chloe with some form of ovarian cancer? The symptoms of ovarian cancer mimic pregnancy.

Has a "real" false pregnancy story (not just someone faking it) been done on Days before? That would certainly be a twist and a quick ending to this story. It would also give Nicole and Chloe something more to bond over and could have some pretty emotional scenes.

Agreed! He can go away if he's going to be reformed. I'm only interested in evil Deimos.

Now that would be an interesting twist. I don't really want to watch a cancer story, but it would be more interesting than a paternity coverup. I onder if that works with the timeline for when NB left on maternity leave. There hasn't been a casting call for a baby and it would make sense that rather than the baby dying, it just doesn't exist.

I'd much rather they went with the false pregnancy - since Nicole goes with Deimos to the paternity reveal she would be there for Chloe when they found out.

This is OT, but I watched Y&R Friday, and that was some of the best work I saw PB perform in a long time.

Yeah, I think they're called hysterical pregnancies. But when talking about this Chloe/Deimos/Nicole baby storyline, KC said it would be shocking or surprising whose baby it is......so they'll probably will be a baby. But since Kate is involved I could see Chloe having a false pregnancy and Kate paying a doctor to tell her that she is pregnant and then having her implanted with some strangers' sperm doing an examination.

The only baby story I'd be interested in seeing with Nicole and involving Deimos would be if he was desperate to make Nicole happy and bought a child off the black market and it turned out to be her little boy. And then for Nicole to decide that she only wants to focus on her son and bye Deimos! lol And wasn't Brady and someone huge from Nicole's past suppose to enter this baby storyline?

I thought of that too. That the twist is she is not even pregnant. And that she finds out she has ovarian cancer.

It could be Adrienne' s breast cancer story too, not sure. But I guess we will see what happens.

I'm not interested in any baby story for this bunch. Nicole and Philip have already had too many baby stories, and Deimos shouldn't exist.

Exactly - a false pregnancy story does away with a baby that isn't needed and can provide some emotional drama.

The only baby story I want for Nicole is one that Baby Ejole #2 is alive ( with a new name, of course).

Did she? That sounds vaguely familiar. Melanie did.

Chloe did have an hysterical pregnancy:

http://soapcentral.com/days/whoswho/chloe.php

Quote:

The two were happy together until Daniel's friend Carly came to town. Daniel was shocked to learn that he fathered Carly's daughter, Melanie. As he tried to form a bond with his new daughter, Chloe became suspicious and jealous of Carly. The situation was only complicated by the fact that Chloe had a hysterical pregnancy and was told that she would probably never have a child. One night, having been tricked by Vivian to think that Carly and Daniel were having an affair, Chloe turned to Philip. The two slept together. A few weeks later, Chloe learned she was pregnant. She did not know if the father was Daniel or Philip.

Did Chloe have the hysterical pregnancy and Melanie have a miscarriage?

Also, Carrie had a hysterical pregnancy too I think.

I have zero memory of Chloe having the hysterical pregnancy.

I'm almost positive that Melanie had a miscarriage. It's really funny that I can remember every detail of good storylines with good characters all the way to the early eighties, but hardly remember any specifics of bad storylines with bad characters...i.e..Daniel, Melanie

I'm pretty sure Chloe found out she was pregnant just before Melanie and Philip's wedding, because I remember Chloe and Arianna becoming friends around that time and discussing the pregnancy. Then Chloe found out she wasn't actually pregnant right before Daniel found out he was Melanie's dad.

I blocked Melanie's pregnancy out of my head entirely. Lol.
