This interaction between Kate/Rafe is ridiculous for multiple reasons (I hate when people just go off about what they think other people are saying) but Rafe's line about how going out with Clyde was punishment enough made me laugh.

With the caveat that I haven't actually watched the show yet, I do like that all the storylines dealt with the prison escape. That's something I missed in the necktie killer story - it didn't seem to affect anyone but the victims (and VERY briefly, those who cared about them) and Ben/Chabby. It should have been a bigger deal. People should have been worried, taking extra precautions, etc. But they didn't, and IMO, that fact diluted the story tremendously.

I was expecting this episode to be back to the bubbles, with only Kate dealing with the prison break, but I'm happy to be wrong.

Okay. So. If they did a story where Chad was drawn to Gabi because her ears are a lot like Abby's, I'd totally buy it.

Oh I agree too. People found out John got shot, they were talking about having cops on the targets. Abe with the teens too. It's a good sign.

Abby always said Chad looked best in purple. Did Chad wear a lot of purple?

What an unappreciative group of little brats these teens are. Not one of them enjoyed anything about their first day of college? Not an intellectually curious mind in the bunch? Pathetic.

I feel more sympathy for Chase than for Ciara/Theo/Claire/Joey, which I suspect means I'm watching wrong again....

Joey: Don't you have somewhere better to be like playing pattycake with a baby?

That did amuse me.

Jade has a grandmother.

I hate the timing of this Chad Gabi
Can this be anymore rushed and contrived?

These teens are all written terribly. The actors don't do much to help. BUT they do actually work well together. Too bad they don't have better characters.

Aiden is a tad delusional.

So Kate and Andre are shacking up. Random.

The teens are annoying today.

So Aiden is going to make Hope come back to him by threatening to throw her in jail.

Thank you JCP.

Still boring and what, Clyde doesn't show up at Kate's till last second?

Jade when J.G. had her was a siren who wanted to lure Joey into trouble. Dena takes her and makes an innocent little thing who is offended when he compares her to that thing.

I'm glad Evil Aiden at least gets to go out as a decent father removing his son from the incompetent mental hospital and back to a likely better situation.

I think he asked her the day she moved in.

I think a lot of us are watching several things wrong. For example, many seem to be cheering for Aiden (the "bad guy") to expose Rope (the "good guys") for Stefano's murder & the cover-up.

Ciara is convincing other people to drop out of college so that Claire will stay. Weird.

Shame the kid playing Chase is a horrible human being, because he's a decent actor.
