With the Orpheus flashbacks, this seems much more like what they should have done for the 50th. I know this isn't the first time I've said this, but I'm just thinking it really is better than the ridiculous story they did last fall. Amen to that.

I'm surprised that Nicole is still saying no to moving in.
I wonder now if she isn't going to get kidnapped by Xander and end up shooting him?
If Nicole shoots Xander, she would be dead to me. What if it was only a flesh wound??

I agree they need to repair the connection between Brady and John/Marlena. But I also think it is a bit tough to ignore the long history at this point of Brady's connection to Victor. As to Deimos being the savior, he did in the conversation reference that he checked with Victor before making the gesture and Victor agreed to it. Had they had Victor in the episode making the offer I think some folks would have complained there was too much Victor/Maggie. I suspect Chloe will be moved in before you know it. I get that the show has some budget issues so if it helps having several people living in the mansion then it doesn't bother me. If it leads to Thanksgiving dinner with everyone around a table, then I think that will be fun. I've also wanted them to break the bubbles and this is a means of helping to do that. Hoping we get some of this from the folks living at the DiMera mansion although perhaps less likely. I don't blame Brady necessarily for agreeing to the move in. It was really Theresa that he deferred to and considering the townhouse has issues between the kidnapping and other events, I can see why Theresa would not feel safe there. I didn't see a major focus on Deimos today. He was just the catalyst of getting everyone in the mansion. I thought it was interesting that the writers set up that Deimos had actually visited Zander in jail once. That makes sense to me also.
Tate wasn't kidnapped from the townhouse though. They were in the park. I get Brady has a history with Victor. It's the only history the show cares to remember. All the other years Brady was written as John and Marlena's is basically forgotten. I'm not asking for him to forget Victor exists. I'm asking for balance and some respect for the real history of Brady's upbringing. But Brady as shown on screen has basically lived with Victor at the mansion since at least the EM version and a really large component of the KL version.

Chad gets in a kerfluffle with Clyde AND. HIS. HAIR. DOES. NOT. MOVE. Billy Flynn, ladies & gentlemen!!
I don't like Deimos. I don't like Nicole. I don't like Brady. I don't like Theresa. All I got from their scenes was that I wanted some fries. As far as Deimos offering to protect his "family"...I can't seem to find a damn to give - BRADY. IS. NOT. A. KIRIAKIS. DAMMIT. but I'm to the point where he's such a useless POS, they can have him. John & Marlena deserve better.
I loved the interactions with John & Marlena and Steve & Kayla, and the interactions of John & Steve and Marlena & Kayla...it was a good set of scenes & a nice flow to the storyline(s).
Good show today!! BRADY is A KIRIAKIS His birth mother was A Kiriakis therefore he is a Kiriakis,
He's also a Black .....

Why Brady doesn't call his father or see him when he knows he got shot? What a dummy? Stop protecting your nightmare fiancé needs you and go see your dad for crying out loud.

Yeah, I'm not sure what they were going for with that "John's here line."
I think it was an excuse for her to leave Steve to speak to Kayla without her just flat out saying, "I'm going to leave you two alone to talk."
Nah, it just made no sense at all. imo , made no sense in the fact that she knew he was there since she was just with him but it i think they were trying to mimic what they were just discussing... with the men being overly protective. Marlena just told Kayla that John hasn't stopped following her around since all of the orpheus stuff happened. So it was more of an 'oh john is here' surprise... comment, imo.

Nope, the new version today of Clyde popping in on Kate wasn't better than yesterday's like I was hoping, it was worse. And I hate that her house now has the DiMera foyer. Just put it back where it belongs.
Why is Marlena being so flip and nonchalant about this whole Orpheus thing? Well, at least she's still got her clutch purse!
They should just give Tatertot to Nicole. He seems to like her unlike his stupid bio parents.
I'm super bored with this Kate/Clyde scene.
I hope Nicole does end up with Tater tot.
Theresa can die, Brady can be the unfit father that Chad isn't convincing in. Nicole can offer to look after Tater tot until Brady is up to the job.
And then Kristen can swoop in and attempt to get him back.
I like ED / AZ scenes.

Apparently Kate loves Chad. And she called him baby. Honestly, I don't even hate it, but I wish they'd been slower to re-establish them. I'd prefer it if she just concentrated on her actual sons.

Theresa nearly got strangled, so she changed into a red dress to go to the police station. I'd be in some sweats. Does DJ wear do sweats?

Upbringing. He wasn't raised in the mansion or by Victor regardless of where he's lived the last few years as an adult. Yes but everyone seems to want him to move back in with his mum and dad.
The mansion has been his home for a long time now.
He's had a reasonably long time to develop a relationship with Victor and Maggie.
I want him to have more scenes with his mother and father but I don't need him living with them at all.

I don't need him living with anyone. I liked him living on his own like an actual adult. However, if he's going to live with someone, yeah...I'd prefer it be his parents who are kind to him and his fiance rather than Victor who is not. It doesn't make sense to move into the mansion anyway if their fear is Xander being able to get into the townhouse. Orpheus got into the mansion.
He has developed a relationship with Victor and Maggie. I don't think the relationship they've come up with is a reasonable one at all. Regardless, his relationship with Victor is way worse than his relationships with John and Marlena. Yet for some reason, he keeps crawling back for more verbal abuse.

Even though everyone living at the mansions is because of budget constraints, I actually like the idea. It reminds me of the late 90s/early 00s when everyone and their brother (literally!) was living in the Kiriakis mansion. I do think it will actually help story. It allows for more character interactions.
In theory it's fine. But this instance just reinforces Brady with the wrong family.
Yes it does. It also overlooks the fact that Deimos acquired that mansion by poisoning Maggie while pretending he is the savior of all! Between Deimos and Rafe over propping and the word tent pole, I view Days as having a limited future at least for me! Hope Im wrong and story actually appears for those other than the pets of Higley Quan . The last time Higley did this I had to quit Days for years then it was all the Jonas family Now the Jonas family has morphed into the Hernandez clan.
Heaven help us.

But Brady as shown on screen has basically lived with Victor at the mansion since at least the EM version and a really large component of the KL version. EM's Brady had a good relationship with Marlena during RoboJohn back when EM first started. And I wouldn't complain if they gave J&M a 1/4 of the respect the Victor Brady relationship gets. Brady doesn't even speak to Marlena.
Secondly that being said he has NO relationship with Deimos. The man who stated he's protecting his family including Brady today.

Kate's house is weird, it has two foyers.
Steve, telling Joey to "stay sharp" isn't going to help that dufus.
Kayla, Marlena just told you she'd fill in your replacement about the convict situation, why are you now asking Steve to do it?
"Steve, telling Joey to "stay share" isn't going to help that dufus." This cracked me up.I keep picturing slack jawed open mouth Joey.
