I don't get this Sonny/Paul conversation about being a PI vs a Kiriakis. It's as organic as JJ/Gabi's fight about him looking for Abby's body.
Really? I only caught bits of it, but there's an ongoing dangerous situation happening. They had a conversation about danger in their lives. That seems a fairly pertinent topic to me.
The tension seemed manufactured.

Omg Brady, STFU and stop yelling at Abe. Go home to the Kiriakis and babysit your "wife".

Clyde kidnapped a child? Is Marlena talking about Joey?

Will Claire learn from this? The way she's been written lately, I doubt it. Orpheus is going to hate listening to her whine about her youtube channel. :blulaugh:

Hmmmm.... I really enjoyed that episode. On a completely shallow note, all the prettiest people positively glowed today (Sonny, Gabi, Paul, Chad, etc.).

Sonny and Paul scenes were adorable and then within seconds really tense. That was interesting.

Parent Paul is hilarious ad Claire is still annoying I see.

Sonny.... don't listen to Brady. Never listen to Brady. Brady is the dimmest light bulb in the Kiriakis Christmas tree. Also its completely odd to me that Brady can just walk into the police station and just start giving his input on cases. He is a civilian.

The writers actually managed to make me enjoy a Jennifer scene. Congrats to Quigley- I liked her scenes with Chad.

JJ dipping Gabi was cute- wish we had moments of them together in the last regime but I'll take what I can get.

I liked all the interactions today and the ending was a dream come true. Take her out Orpheus. First grab Ciara though. But leave Theo alone. I like that one.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deepPaul's family is dangerous?! I really hate the writing for Sonny since he's been back. He's always been about family, but he was never this blind to the Kiriakis shadiness.
I think that's probably a misquote. I think Sonny was insinuating being involved with the family PI business is dangerous, not the family itself.
I hope that's it, and I guess I'll see when I watch the episode later. It's always hard to get the true take from Twitter recaps. I hope that's the case though. I'm all for Sonny telling Paul his job is dangerous. That's fine.
I had a problem with Sonny telling Paul that being a PI who chooses which cases he will take is as morally gray as the Kiriakis business, or more so since Uncle Vic is always on the up-and-up now.

This episode is the least I have ever liked Sonny. I'm all for him loving Victor, but like Brady he's completely blind to the fact that Victor isn't a saint. And as Brady ignores his Black side, Sonny ignores his Johnson side.

(Speaking of Johnsons, I loved JJ and Jennifer talking about Jack.)

The Paul/Sonny angst is so contrived.

I didn't know Chad and Gabi grew up together. Is that new info?
I guess you could call 11th/12th grade and on "growing up together."

I think the tension was a little oddly presented by the dialogue/comparison made but the tension I feel like follows up from their impromptu lunch a couple weeks ago when Paul realized Sonny has changed.

I like that Sonny was all "WTF call the cops" when he initially walked in on Brady. That seems like Sonny. But that tidbit was ruined by the fact that he eventually went along with Brady and then I had to endure those stupid dock scenes and Brady's terrible attempt at convincing mobster/assassin talk.

I think Sonny has two personalities right now. One smiles at Paul and tells Brady to call the cops. The other snarks at Paul in defense of his criminal family and follows Brady to a shootout.

JJ's renting a room at the Salem Inn in the middle of the day, during a blackout, to take a nap? :blulaugh:

LOL that Brady's henchman opened fire without knowing who, if anyone, was in the warehouse. Joey who? :blulaugh:

RE: Sonny and the Kiriakis dealings- what the actual heck did Justin and Adrienne tell him the Kiriakis family does growing up? Though to be fair, I have no idea what the Kiriakis family does.
Actually scratch that, because just a year ago, Brady was shocked that Victor wasn't a great guy when he was trying to stop Theresa from leaving with Tate. What an odd mob family.

I guess Brady found out offscreen that Theresa is the reason why Xander was in prison.

That's disappointing.

Good thing Chad put Abby's clothes in the attic and didn't cart them off to Goodwill. She might need them when she gets back. I really hope she hasn't been hangin' in her bathrobe this whole time. 😳
The whole watch scene with Jennifer made me tear up a bit. My mom still hangs on to my dad's Walmart watch and its been years.

Loved sonny and Brady today!

JJ and Gabi dancing-adorable! We need more of that. I know she is going to end up feeling neglected because he is working too much and then her and Chad will just end up happening...but she needs to remember that he saved her and ari from that flu storyline. You got that right Gabi, JJ is a hero!

The ending! That was great! ORK makes a great hostage. Paul needs to be a better babysitter. 😊
