Too much Deimos but I never thought in 2016 I'd see a month where Orpheus led and J&M were in double digits along with him.

It does look like stuff is evening out more. Happy to see more Abe, Jarlena. Like the villains. I do think Stayla is on more than they had been lately so happy for that. Happy to see more of Gabi and Paul.

They seem to be utilizing the cast much better. There are only three people on contract used less than once a week, and two of those people were fired mid month, so that makes sense. Obviously we all have who we'd prefer to see less or more of, but as a whole that looks much better than it has been looking.

Hey Jason, I noticed Bill Hayes is not listed with Susan as a principal guest. Is that just because he hasn't been airing, or is he no longer with the show for whatever reason?

He wasn't on in September. Only non-contract actors who appear during the month are listed in that section. He's still with the show. They just seem to use Julie more than Doug. Wish they'd both be used more!!

I think Nicole should always be in the top 3 i was a big fan of Ari she was my fave woman after Ali(Sami) i am glad she getting more air time now i was so sad to see her lose her soul mate Daniel in January. I tuned in to see Ari that week as well as JM Stefano's death it was a great week to watch Days i must say Ari rocked it.

Well that a much better top ten for the month even with Deimos there lol

Lots of use of the townhouse too. No wonder every else has to move off that set.

Regarding the yearly totals, besides the hope Rafe overload, way too much Deimos. He's no one. Go away.

I'm not thrilled with the top two contract players and it's really weird having three guest stars on top. But the actual number of episodes for everyone is much better.

Obviously we all have who we'd prefer to see less or more of, but as a whole that looks much better than it has been looking.
^^THIS. No one feels like a "pop-up" anymore. Everybody seems to have a "part" in the ex-con story. The transition is still a little rough but I have hopes that smoothes out in the coming months as they move the cast around and lock in character aspects and associations that have been missing. It's just so nice to see the WHOLE CAST again - interacting with friends and family members (or even just mentioning them in passing). It no longer feels like the show is centered around a small group of characters with the others as window dressing or living their lives OFF SCREEN. That's a PLUS in my view.

The problem though is hat the early months of Grifley were an improvement in that area, too. I'm not sure why that's something they have a hard time maintaining.

For Sept. 2016 a little character movement.

1) The character of Steve Johnson (with 1214 episodes) surpasses Abigail Deveraux (with 1210 episodes) to become the 39th most appearing character in the show's history.

2) Also, the character of Chloe Lane (with 1179 episodes) surpasses Kimberly Brady (with 1171 episodes) to become the 41st most appearing character in the show's history.

Coming up next month.. one actor should finally reach the 1000+ club!! .... Stay tuned :)

Not really. There were bubbles. Not bad as from January-August but they were there. You had alot of stuff happening offscreen and then you had characters that either should've been present for stuff or that should've mentioned or found out things that were going on not being a factor. Will's death was a situation where they did ok but even then this was an issue.

The last month or so is the best it's been in a long time. I can't recall how long it's been since the whole canvas was connected like this. MarDar didn't even do this as well. There is alot that still needs fixing but I love the fact that even if a major story isn't featured it tends to get mentioned. It doesn't feel like episodes are hacked to bits. There is momentum and flow. If they could just rid us of some of the bad stories (Rafe/Hope/Aiden, Deimos) it would be really good IMO. I suspect those stories will transition into other stories eventually though. It reminds me a bit of late 2008 when you had some good stuff and then some leftover bad stuff.

Oh, there were problems all along. But at the beginning it still seemed to be better than the end of TomSell. It wasn't so much the bubbles, though. It was more just the overall balance.

I feel like those stories are November Sweeps. So I'm a little less than optimistic.
