Reasons I support Trump:
He wants to repeal Obamacare. When I was unemployed, I didn't qualify for Obamacare and had no insurance. I was told the only way I could get it is if I was single mother or pregnant.
Restless, you were one of my first friends at DR.
I very much disagree with your politics, but I am not going to categorize you as a demographic. You are a human being and I will continue to see you as a fellow human being.
I'm sorry you had a bad experience with the enrollment process with Obamacare.
I am neither a single mother nor pregnant. I was unemployed due to serious medical problems. I had no trouble enrolling.
Obamacare saved my life. Without it, I would be dead now. Fact. And I was able to return to work.

CNN says Pence is considering quitting... Well I just got an e-mail 2 hours ago saying Pence is campaigning for Trump/Pence on Monday in Fayetteville, NC. Of course that doesn't necessarily mean it's impossible for him to quit, but I'm doubting he is quitting.

Is there a politics section on this board?
No, and we'll probably close this one when I go to bed tomorrow.
Part of me wishes it was closed sooner, I got zero homework done today :$ I'm going to have to ban myself tomorrow. I'd love to, but I figure it'll stay a relevant topic through tomorrow.

So endorsing Trump's behavior must be worse too. Interesting.
You have no defense for her. I'm voting for the lesser of two evils in my opinion. Anyone (in general) who celebrates Bill Clinton and yet is appalled by Trump doesn't have a leg to stand on. Videotape vs. twitter ramblings about something that was never taken to court and had no criminal charges filed ...

The media dragged her into this. Seriously, standing outside her home :shame:
Between Trump's ridiculous comments and the "killer clowns" phenomenon going on right now in our neighborhoods, it's like 2016 had become one big SNL skit. This election is putting a lot of comedians to work. Frankly, that's the only thing left about this that I enjoy, other than that I am ready for November 8 to be over with.

Serious question. When posters here make generally insulting comments about a whole political party, is the assumption that there's nobody on this board that might be part of said party, and therefore the insulting comments aren't actually attacks on posters (rather than the show, the actors, etc.)? Because if that's the assumption, it's wrong. There are Republican/conservative voters on this board who don't appreciate being called crazies and rape-enablers just because of their political affiliation, any more than the Democrats/progressives here would like to be called names for theirs.
Do not assume that all Republicans (or even a majority of Republicans) wanted Trump as their candidate. Many of the most prominent conservative thinkers/pundits find him just as horrifying as their progressive counterparts and refuse to support him at all, even though they have no desire for Clinton to win the presidency. That goes for rank and file Republicans as well.
Generalization isn't fair and it does end up smearing people who actually agree with you on many subjects.
I didn't vote for Trump in the primary (I voted for Rubio). I wasn't going to vote in this election until I got fed up with Black Lives Matters, their violent protests, and their anti-cop propaganda. This made me look at things in a new light. The hardworking police officers of this country do not deserve the treatment they are getting and being labeled racist because of a few incidents. Hillary supports this movement and thinks everyone is "implicitly racist." She came out and pointed her finger at the cop in Charlotte (who is African-American by the way) before she had all of the facts so she could score political points. Our cops deserve a President who has their backs. So does our military. I would never vote for Hillary for a bunch of reasons, so I'm going to vote for the person who I feel has the best interests of our nation at heart and doesn't have contempt for the people voting for the other candidate ("basket of deplorables"). It doesn't matter if the Republican candidate is Trump, Romney, McCain, etc. They are always labeled as crazy, racist, dumb, and sexist despite the fact that women, African-Americans, and people of all races & sexual orientation support/supported them. It's used as the typical scare tactic to voters, especially younger ones. I get sick of hearing about how as a woman, I shouldn't vote for Trump. Hillary has done far more damage to women in her career than Trump has. Restless84, learn your history before judging BLM. If you truly think their issues begin in 2014, then you are not informed about the oppression of black people that has been occurring in this country for 400 years. Chattel slavery Jim Crow, i.e., state-sponsored and endorsed racism. Black people have been lynched and harassed by law enforcement going back centuries so sorry if black people's perspectives on policing don't mirror yours. There's a great museum that just opened in downtown DC that could really help you get some insight...

I never got that argument either lol. How do stricter gun laws equate with taking away everyone's guns? Just because some people don't want everyone being able to buy assault rifles doesn't mean they don't want you to own a pistol.
Because we already have enough laws. And to make more only effects the law abiding gun owner. And Hillary has said that it would be a great thing to try here..Australian gun laws. Which means citizens are banned from owning any. Sorry I can't bring that video over here as I'm on my kindle and not my lap top. (Not to tech savvy lol) Support for background checks on every gun sold, no exceptions has been running in the 88-93% range for the past 3 years at least. But that still isn't reality. And 86% believe that people on the No Fly list shouldn't have guns. Even common sense legislation like that can't pass due to NRA lobbying efforts.
Clinton said it might be worthwhile to consider offering a buyback program like they had in Australia and then move forward with more of background check, permitting approach. That doesn't infringe on any current law-abiding owner's right to a gun.

I don't agree with the violent protests, but if you don't understand WHY they do it,you're part of the problem.Black Lives Matter doesn't stand for only black lives are important,it means Black Lives Matter TOO and unless black communities and police learn to communicate and understand each other it won't get better.

A lot of the protests aren't even violent. I've seen dozens of videos from people who are in the middle of it and I'd say most of the time it's people standing around chanting, or just standing around while police are in military gear across the street.

Videotape vs. twitter ramblings about something that was never taken to court and had no criminal charges filed ... Just like Bill Cosby, Bill Clinton has had numerous women make accusations. I don't believe they are liars or it's some "vast right ring conspiracy" against him. There have been too many women. Their accusations are not just Twitter ramblings either.

This is not even a political thing for me. What Trump and Bush said on that bus was just disgusting. I was offended as a woman and was offended for Ari and Nancy. And then how the two of them got her to hug them, ugh, I just wanted to yell at her to take a shower. Even if Trump wasn't a presidential candidate, I would still feel the same way about him and them on their behavior.
