I find both Trump and Hillary disgusting on different levels, but here's the catch for me: Hillary isn't currently making an ass of herself on tv in debates, interviews, rally's, and in her tweets. She looks sane, smart and composed. Do I agree with her on everything? No. But Trump isn't even pretending to be Presidential. He continues to CURRENTLY make disgusting sexist comments for laughs and giggles. The Presidency is a serious matter, and if he presented himself with even the SLiGHTEST grace and tact, he would likely be winning. He's sabatoging himself because he doesn't really want the job IMO. I can't vote for somebody who just enjoys being an ass to people. Hillary could simply walk on the debate stage - fart - and walk off and still be look Presidential, because Trump considers this to be a joke.
I don't know how I missed this post, but it's like one of the best most accurate things I've read all day!

Trump may consider this a joke, but he got half of people eating out of his hands....Anyway, after this news, people are most likely not side with him in the elections.

I wonder if all these celebrities were as upset at the attacks on Sarah Palin and her family than they are about Trump? She's woman, but since she's a Republican, I guess they thought it was funny to make fun of her pregnant daughter and make up vicious rumors.
I'm not sure what you think the connection is. They're upset at the actual candidate, not random dummies on the internet. Random dummies on the internet aren't trying to lead the country.

Trumps own aides admitted he had no desire to prep for the first debate,he's had friends who suggest books to read to better educate him on topics and he simply shows no interest in doing so,as president you have to READ briefings every single day on a number of topics,I think he thinks being president is easy, well every person alive who is or has been president doesn't think he can handle it,THAT shouldn't be ignored.

Obama condemned attacks on Palin's family. He told reporters to stop it. He said he'd fire anyone on his campaign staff if they attacked her family.

I think children of candidates should be left alone, but Sarah herself, well most jokes, like Trump are direct quotes from their mouths and Bristol still gets trolled when she talks abstinence, but never practices it.

No real connection really. Just an observation that many who are disgusted at Trump didn't think the garbage said about another woman and her daughter was disgusting and laughed about it. The opinions of celebrities, including soap stars, are irrelevant to me, but I often find their hypocrisy laughable.

Maybe it's just me, but my expectations for presidential candidates are a little different than they are for internet trolls. I feel fairly confident that that's similar for the majority of the people speaking out, and I don't think that's the slightest bit hypocritical.

Good for him. Unfortunately, many of his supporters didn't follow that advice. I'll stop because this is OT.

It wasn't just internet trolls, but that doesn't matter now. I have my own expectations for presidential candidates as well and both fall well short. I had to make a choice.

Personally, I'll be the first to admit bias against the Palins. It doesn't bother me when people talk shit about them because I don't like them. I don't like what they stand for and I don't like them as humans. I think Sarah's a bitch and her daughter is too.

Either way, it wasn't the other presidential and vice presidential candidates.

Nigel Farage called Trump a alpha male and some women do the same thing when they get together they say things that that don't want anyone else to hear its not nice its ugly but it happens. He also said Hilary can't throw any stones at Trump after how she and husband has behaved over the years and if she brings up what he said she should throw it back in her face how her knowing all about men behaving badly. Just watched a interview that he gave to Fox this man is so on the side of Trump he doesn't like Hilary at all.

I can't speak for what celebrities on the internet said about Sarah Palin or Bristol. But I can say I certainly told people that I thought it was inappropriate if I saw them going after the Palin children. I thought attacking Bristol was uncalled for she had a enough going on in her life, and I thought the whole crazy conspiracy rumor about Trig being Bristol's was about the craziest and stupidest thing ever.

Attacking Sarah Palin for the things that she said during the campaign? Totally fine.

Attacking any of the Palin kids? Out of bounds.

And I guarantee if anybody blamed Melania for any of Trump's crap, I'd be defending her here, too. I think it is disgusting that this newly married man held this conversation with Billy Bush on that buss. But that isn't on Melania any more than Clinton's indiscretions are on Hillary.

Okay this is completely off-topic and it's not the candidates, but I find that in the mainstream press, in Hollywood, on comedy shows, on social media, etc, that it's a lot more acceptable to degrade and insult conservative/Republican women. That's my experience. So when popular culture will demean the first woman to be on the Republican ticket, but then be outraged by Trump's bad treatment of women, it seems off to me. I tried to explain this the best I could.

Anyway, this works fine. Honey, you look horrific.

A candidate's/elected official's wife and children are "supposed" to be off limits but, let's don't kid ourselves. I'm old enough to remember the Kennedy administration and I've seen how "reporting" has changed over the years.

It's utterly despicable to go after a spouse and children, but Sarah Palin's children were not the only ones "targeted". The Republicans attacked Amy Carter and Chelsea Clinton when they were approximately 12 years old and living in the White House and they've gone after Malia and Sasha as well. These are minor children and should be completely off limits. The press had a field day with the missteps of the Bush daughters who although they were slightly older, they were still young women just entering adulthood.

After McCain lost the election the Palin children (Bristol especially) stayed in the media spotlight of their own volition and actively courted the press - negative or otherwise - which is an entirely different scenario.
