I don't think Billy Bush should lose his job over this.
Why not? It's really not okay to snicker at descriptions of sexual assault and then encourage a woman to hug the person who made those comments (and who was making lewd comments about the woman just seconds before). It's sick and it's wrong and it's not "boys will be boys." It's the EXACT kind of behavior and comments that allows a judge to sentence a convicted rapist to only three months in jail because it might mess up his future.
Lol k. I'm not condoning his actions nor do I think anything Donald trump said is acceptable but I know lots of men who talk like this and honestly what is said behind closed doors when it's just the guys hanging out I don't find offensive. But when you're in a woman's presence, have some respect of course!

To say boys will be boys only allows this mentality to continue.

This is so disgusting. I just saw the headlines at first and didn't realize it was about Ari, but knowing that it was made it worse. I obviously don't know her personally but she seems like a wonderful person and to be degraded in that manner is just horrifyingly awful. FU Trump and Billy Bush.

Unfortunately this is how men talk about women when they're with their friends, not all men but a lot of men. I'm just as disgusted as everyone else but I don't think people should be calling for Billy Bush's head on a platter for nervously laughing at Donald's Trumps gross comments. I'm sure there are lots of things your friends say that you don't agree with but you don't call them out anytime they say something you don't like.

Yes! Their speech must be moderated. I'm not defending his words but the outrage I'm seeing is as if he raped her?? What the hell? Lots of people say crap they should never say but they do say it. It has nothing to do with boys will be boys. I've heard worse from women. What else shouldn't be allowed to be said. Because it offends some people it should be outlawed? As ugly as some words are..they are just words. When said words are the cause of deaths then we have a problem.

Can we not do this shit here? Political shit.
Political shit my foot! This is disgust over a disgusting pig(two actually) and his disgusting comments. The fact that he is running for President and people support him is another matter entirely.
And he's not the only candidate that has said disgusting shit. But this of course will feed the media for days to come. (No matter my opinion on the matter)
You know...I probably don't agree with your opinion...but I totally support your right to have it! Post on!

And they shouldn't hold themselves to a higher standard? For what reason? Whether it's in a women's presence or not there should ALWAYS be respect. When women are continually demeaned behind close doors or not, they will always be considered inferior. For this reason I will not stand for ANY excuse for this behavior EVER.

Feminist rant is now concluded.

He verbally raped women with his comments. Just as bad. Women are animals in his eyes.

Actually Hollywood has shown they have no morals when they openly support a corrupt candidate because she's a woman. What Trump said was totally uncalled for and wrong but he has stood up and apologized. And maybe I misunderstood but do people actually believe his words are the same as rape?? Because you have to be touched to be raped. Shocking, I know. I do feel bad for Ari because the media will go on a feeding frenzy.
Apologies mean nothing coming from a man who continuously allows for these derogatory comments to fall out of his mouth. Let's not act like he is a changed man. If anything, he's worse.
“I apologize if anyone was offended" is also not an apology. It translates to "in the event you incorrectly believe that I did something wrong, you have my condolences for being incorrect." Plus he added on the good old "everyone does it so that makes it okay."

An apology would be more like: I'm sorry. I was wrong. I should not have made light of sexual assault by bragging about my supposed ability to get away with such behavior. I understand that sexual assault is a serious issue and that the kind of language I used is not conducive to raising awareness of the problem. I love the women in my life and would not want to see them treated as less than human.

Billy Bush apologized. Donald Trump absolutely did not.

Not shocked by him,but poor Arianne is dragged into this.
Yeah, there is no shock to be had. This is just Trump. He's a misogynist and a moron. For a long time (since the 80s or so) only people in the NY area knew what a buffoon he was. No one really took him seriously. But it was NBC who brought him to the world, and without his show on their network, he'd never have gotten anywhere in this election. Name recognition mean A LOT. So, you can blame NBC for this incident, because they had to tie together Days, The Apprentice, and whatever-the-hell Hollywood show Billy Bush works on - and you can blame NBC in a lot of ways for Trump.

But back to the issue at hand - Trump's actions are typical of him and Billy Bush's reaction is totally on par with all of the B.S. in Hollywood. Nothing shocking here at all, but that fact that this incident is an issue NOW and not when it happened shows that money always trumps (pun intended) morality, ethics, and decency in the good ole U.S.A.

I'll join you in being unpopular here, but I do agree with you to an extent. Any moral outrage from Hillary and co is laughable considering her excuses for her husband getting bj's in the oval office while he was president. Trump's comments, while disgusting and totally inappropriate, were said while he was a private citizen, not while he was running for president and not while he was holding office. I'm not excusing what he's said, I just think the "moral outrage" from some is ridiculous, all things considered. I'm interested to see if this changes anything. There's still a month before the election and supposedly they are really tight in the polls. If it does hurt Trump, I wonder if it will stick until November 8th? His die-hard supporters don't seem to care what he says. This has been one of the nastiest, mud-slinging elections that I can remember. :shame:

That's asking a lot of one person. I've been in situations where jokes were being told that I didn't necessarily approve of but I'm not gonna be that prude who tells them to stop. Donald Trump is a grown man, he's going to say what he wants regardless of how disgusting it is. No way should Billy Bush lose his job, he's a good guy.

What surprises me the most is the guy taking the most heat for this is NOT the one running for President. People are going hard after Billy Bush on social media.
