Quan loves the 90's DOOL and Kristen, so I think he would do a good arc with her. Hope it happens.
He and Dena would have to write with far more urgency than we are seeing onscreen now for it to work The current story with the prisoners isn't bad but it is lacking in terms of punch. And my feeling is that a Kristen story until this regime would feel like more of a Dena story than a Quan story. So far, I sense far more Dena in the stories whereas I see more of Quan in scripts but that could change over time. It tends to when Dena has a co-HW :blulaugh: . If these have been Quan inspired scripts... :'(

No thanks. They'd have to bring her back as a foil for Brady and I'm not interested in the least in that. I think she out lived her relevance long ago. Bringing her back and putting her into a different generation was a huge mistake, then bringing her back again and doing that idiotic fetus stealing story made her into an incomprehensible cartoon. I stopped understanding her motivations at all by then. Keep her dead and move on. I don't even know if John knows Marlena threw her out the window. The show didn't even care enough about her to have an actual fallout from that. And I don't consider Stefano kidnapping Marlena to Italy counted considering Marlena had absolutely no reaction to that either. As for Quan, it's too early for me to decide if he's living up to his "reputation" as a 90's afficianado, but this Orpheus return isn't cutting it for me so far... I have to wonder if he'd do any better with Kristen. I didn't enjoy any of her returns. It had potential but they ruined the character completely. I think the actors are the only thing making Clyde/Orpheus work. I'm still storing up 3, 5, sometimes more episodes at a time on DVR and have barely a passing interest in watching them.

Darn, GG is still there:( I don't think he's ever leaving. I doubt there's much outside of Days for him, and Corday seems to think he's a hot commodity

I'd take Kristen back if it means she's the new head of the DiMera family. Plus it's be interesting seeing her interact with Andre considering she thought he was Tony back in the 90s. That's what I would be most interested in if Kristen came back. To see the dynamic between her and Andre. He was Tony back then, and she was still a good girl. How would the show handle them? As ex-spouses, or as siblings?

Absolutely agree with you! I love George Del Hoyo. He's amazing and it actually hurts me physically to see them waste his talent with subpar story.

I hate how they never mentioned the history between EJ, John and Kristen and how she tried to pass him of as hers. EJ had one comment about it and he said something like "Oh you tried to pass of a baby as yours" That baby was YOU ELVIS!! Hello!! It's infuriating how they SORAS and then they don't like to deal with the consequences and act as if it had never happened. It actually was mentioned in a convo between Brady and Chloe on January 2013 but they did not actually reference EJ by name.

Four years later, and I still can't believe we got a Kristen return. I so wish someone other than TomSell was writing when they finally got her back. I think Hogan would've had a lot of fun with Kristen back in 2007.
I'm glad that Kristen didn't come back in 2007. Hogan would have botched that like he did with all the other DiMeras returning. I didn't like how TomSell reintroduced Kristen to the show. Given how she left in 1998, her return should have been big, like Tony's in 2002. Instead it was very low key, which was typical TomSell. That is probably the only thing they had in common with Hogan, he also wrote returns as none events. But at least TomSell actually seemed to like Kristen and wrote for her. Hogan would have probably just had Eileen play Stefano's mother in flashbacks to show even more how tragic the love saga of Santo and Colleen was :eyeroll: Yea, Tomsell seemed to love her..actually they more than loved her. Everything, literally everything they wrote was centered on her and from her POV. It got old very fast!

Different strokes for different folks! I much preferred 90's Kristen to the one that came back under TomSell. I did enjoy the Bristen pairing, but there was no need to destroy J&M to make it work. On the contrary, J&M should have been stronger than ever. My main beef on her return, was that Marlena & Kristen were well-known bitter enemies/rivals and Deidre & Eileen were always mesmerizing in scenes together, but alas we saw very little of that under TomSell. Instead, they made Marlena insecure and John a total jerk in order to prop Bristen, when it could have been done/written so differently, while still enjoying the Bristen pairing.
I don't disagree about the destruction of John and Marlena. It wasn't needed. But it doesn't mean I didn't like the character of Kristen more this time around. She became too pathetic for my taste in the 90s (trying to hold onto a man who was clearly in love with someone else is not what makes a character likable to me.) Isn't that what they did with her and Brady? At least in the 90's there was a logical progress to her turning into that woman, and it was entertaining. She was even more pathetic when she returned since she got into the same pattern with Brady, who happened to have once been a boy she mothered, and so she apparently did not grow as a character off screen.

I only caught the tail end of her 2nd return in 2014, but I loved that Kristen. She was secretly taping Theresa, Eve and Anne, throwing around trash cans, and riling Daniel to actually do something other than preach. I was in love!
...and then she exited like, the next week. :sadwalk:

TomSell gave us Nicole's baby dying inside of her and her throwing herself down a flight of stairs and blaming Jennifer for it. They also gave us Dannifer and made Daniel the star of the show. I never want them back.....never.
I don't think Nicole planned the fall down the stairs, it was an accident. No, that was Annie on GL.

But that was pretty much a theme during the nineties....Kristin trying to hold onto John, Billie trying to hold onto Bo, Peter trying to hold onto Jen, Stefano trying to hold onto Marlena, Roman tried to hold onto Marlena...they all knew the object of their obsession was in love with someone else but tried everything from pregnancy to kidnapping to emotional blackmail to keep them apart...and to me it made those characters came across as desperate and pathetic True for JT's Roman but not WN's Roman.

They also brought Eric back, started Ericole and likely were going there again with the FOL ;) Yep...wish there hadn't been a switch in 2015.

Use of the cast is one positive for H/Q, something Josh sucked at.

When someone shows who they are...believe them. Everything we're reading is classic Dena Higley unfortunately.

It needs to happen sooner rather than later though. The character and the actor are both awful.
