John definitely loved Kristen. He loved Marlena more but he did love Kristen.
You know, if someone told me they loved me but loved someone else more, I'd tell them to f.... ...f. That's not love. IMO
And she got to chance to....on several occasions in 2014. The Kristen of the 90s would have been begging for his scraps. Which is why I preferred the Tomsell version over the whiny version from JER. :)

Well Bo loved Billie!!! ...He just loved Hope more!!
What can I say? Poor Billie and Kristen :blulaugh: . They should have run from these men as fast as their legs would carry them. :blulaugh: .
I don't think anyone was advocating they stay with them.

Was the segment of her answer about Trump's apology cut?

I wasn't implying anyone from the audience did (I have no idea, actually). I just didn't like this writing direction, because I couldn't get behind the character's motivation.

Sometimes women or men love someone who's in love with someone else. It happens all the time. Sometimes people stay married for years to people they don't love. It's not always black and white.

Oh, I know that :) . That doesn't mean I have to like it (or that character) on a soap :D .

I understand your point. I just wish that instead of taking an established character and completely changing everything about her without explanation, they'd honor who characters were and let them evolve. She could have become the person she was in 2013 without it being at the expense of everyone else...including her former self. They might as well have brought Wendy back and given her that writing. The only thing that was the same between the two stints was her first name (because they changed her last name too). They also could have pretty easily explained the changes in Kristen if they tried, but nothing could have explained the stupidity/apathy in pretty much everyone else in Salem but Marlena when she returned.

Regarding Kristen personally, I loved the last head writers writing of her :) In the 90's, I remember only a sweet Kristen who became psycho which never make sense considering she was the beautiful, stylish, young, woman who could easily have got any man she wanted, but she turn psycho for John ??? WTF we usually talk about destroying the characters in stories or pimp another characters, well the 90th Kristen pimp Marlena and John, in my opinion. Bristen were hot and it was the only time I noticed the current Brady.l :)

Today.com
Arianne Zucker, interviewed by NBC's Janet Shamlian for "the Today Show".

(I attempted to transcribe the full three minutes and 36 seconds.)

Matt Lauer of the Today Show, to the camera:
The woman that Trump spoke about in that 2005 tape -- is speaking out.

[2005 clip of AZ walking with Trump and Billy Bush into the DOOL studio.]

Matt Lauer: ... in her first interview since the controversy erupted and the tape was leaked. NBC's Janet Shamlian sat down with her exclusively.

Matt Lauer to Janet Shamlian: Janet, good morning to you.

Janet Shamlian to Matt Lauer: Matt, good morning.

Janet Shamlian to The Today Show camera: She's a soap opera star who's been thrust into a real life drama. Arinne Zucker is the woman seen in that Access Hollywood video with Donald Trump. This morning, she's talking with us about the comments he made about women, and about her.

Janet Shamlian: Arianne Zucker plays Nicole Walker on Days of Our Lives.

[A DOOL clip of Nicole and Eric at the Rectory. Nicole in a modest black and white print dress. Eric dressed as a priest.
Nicole says to Eric: the only way we'll make amends is if I never see you again!]

Janet Shamlian to the Today Show: But her fictional character, she says, has never been through anything like this.

AZ to Janet Shamlian: It feels quite surreal to be in it. I'm not quite sure if I believe it yet.

Janet Shamlian to the Today Show: It's Zucker that Donald Trump was referring to when he said this to Billy Bush on an "Access Hollywood" bus in 2005.

[part of the 2005 clip of Trump and Billy Bush speaking gross things on the Access Hollywood bus]
[note: The Today Show didn't play Trump's comments about Nancy O'Dell. They did play his comments about women and about AZ.]

Janet Shamlian: "Access Hollywood" is owned by NBC Universal.

[more of the 2005 clip of Trump/Bush talking on the bus]

Janet Shamlian: Those crude comments, made moments before meeting her ...

[The 2005 clip of Trump and Billy Bush continues as they emerged from the Access Hollywood bus, greeted AZ, and began to walk into the DOOL lot/studio]

Janet Shamlian to the Today Show: The recording became public last week, instantly going viral, and throwing Trump's campaign into crisis.

Janet Shamlian to AZ: Do you find those to be offensive comments?

AZ to Janet Shamlian: They are offensive comments -- for women, period. Yes. Yes they are.

Janet Shamlian to the Today Show: As the mother of a 6-year-old daughter, she had concerns.

[photo of AZ and her daughter and their dog at the beach.]

[a silent DOOL clip plays from the same episode of Nicole and Eric at the Rectory, while NBC's Janet Shamlian is speaking to the Today Show]

Janet Shamlian to the Today Show: But working in the entertainment industry, she says ... the language didn't surprise her.

Janet Shamlian to AZ: You weren't shocked?

AZ to Janet Shamlian: Not with that type of personality, I wasn't shocked, which is probably why it doesn't mean a lot to me.

Janet Shamlian to AZ: What about the role of Billy Bush? Some people believe that he egged it on. What's your reaction?

AZ to Janet Shamlian: Who knows how he was feeling when he walked off the bus or what he needed to do in the relationship. Because when he came off the bus along with Mr. Trump, I had no feeling but professional, that's it.

[replay of Bush and Trump greeting AZ outside the bus, and then the three of them walking into the DOOL studio.]

Janet Shamlian to the Today Show: Bush has been suspended from NBC News and has apologized for the incident.

Janet Shamlian to the Today Show: Zucker says she hasn't been able to turn on the television in the past few days without seeing the video.

At the time, Trump was visiting the set of a soap opera for his cameo.

[2005 clip from the actual DOOL episode with Trump appearing as himself talking to Nicole.
Trump tells the character of Nicole: "I'm a happily married man."]

Janet Shamlian to AZ: Donald Trump issued an apology, for what he described as "locker room banter". Do you accept his apology?

AZ to Janet Shamlian: That was an interesting apology. (small chuckle).

Janet Shamlian to the Today Show: The actress says she's looking forward now, hoping to lead by example.

[photo of AZ and her daughter on a boat]

AZ to Janet Shamlian: I want to teach my daughter that if she ever gets put in a situation like mommy is right now that she will hold her head high, as well. And if she's learned anything from it, (it's) how can she share this with other women or young girls or whoever is around her, young boys even.
I think young men can learn from this of how not to be in front of women -- or when they're speaking about women.

Janet Shamlian to AZ: Are you ready for this to go away?
[NOTE: Janet gestured when saying "this" indicating that Janet meant all of this attention about the tape.]

AZ to Janet Shamlian: Umm, I'm ready to use it in a proper way. I'm ready to use it for positivity. I'm ready to use it for women to step forward; and to do good things in my life and for other people.

Janet Shamlian to the Today Show: Arianne Zucker says she is planning to vote, but won't say for whom. She also said she has not heard from Donald Trump, nor from his campaign.

Janet Shamlian to Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie of the Today Show: Matt and Savannah, back to you.

Matt Lauer of the Today Show: All right, interesting. Janet Shamlian, thank you.

END.

The difference was Brady loved her, John didn't. So this time it was worth the fight :D . And IMO she wasn't pathetic and desperate at all.
John definitely loved Kristen. He loved Marlena more but he did love Kristen.
Agreed....John 100% was in love with Kristen.

AZ made it be about women having dignity.
Politics were not discussed.
NBC made it be about damage control for their shows.

Arianne was Emmy-nominated for that Ericole scene, I think that's why they showed that clip.

What do you think, when did he fall out of love with her? after the reveal?
Or maybe he really still had lingering feelings for her in 2013, as it was stated in that one infamous TomSell scene LOL (I kind of don't believe it)?
