Sonny... If Will hadn't behaved like Sami Jr. You never would have left him in the first place. This is hardly Paul's fault.
I didn't get the impression that Sonny actually blames Paul. I think he's tired of hearing that speech Paul gives about how its all his fault for the fourth time, especially since Sonny told him twice it wasn't Paul's fault when he came back the first two times Paul tried to give that speech. I think if Sonny blames anyone, he blames himself.
Right, I thought that that was what was bothering Sonny: wondering what he, Sonny, could have done differently, over and over for a year. He didn't need to have Paul bring it up even though Paul put it in the context of what Paul did rather than what Sonny did.

On the anniversary of Will's death, Paul really shouldn't be putting Sonny in the position of comforting Paul. Though I guess Paul has to make a misstep sometimes.

I'm gonna need Paul to stop blaming himself for sleeping with Will. It's been over a damn year. I get that he feels guilty but he didn't freaking know Will was married so he needs to get over it. Go talk to someone off screen about it for crying out loud.

I feel the same way about this episode as I did about yesterday's: that it was okay overall, pleasant enough to watch, but nothing that had me seriously hooked.

I skipped Rafe/Hope/Aiden. Nothing I need to see there.

The Gabi/Chad/Sonny/Paul stuff was fine. Sweet, even.

I'm out of step with DR on Lucas/Adrienne, because they were what I enjoyed most today. I'm glad all of their kids, living and dead, got acknowledged. I have zero issue with Chad asking them to continue to look out for Thomas. When this arrangement started, Jennifer by her own acknowledgement wasn't in a position to take Thomas on, so Lucas/Adrienne happen to be the ones Thomas knows. They pointed out that Thomas has Jennifer and JJ too. As for the cancer exposition/foreshadowing, I wish they'd thrown in a line about how Adrienne thought she'd told Lucas about the regular screenings rather than the strangeness of Lucas not knowing but that not seeming to be an issue for either. I like Adrienne supporting Lucas about the missing child/dead child and Lucas supporting Adrienne about the cancer issue, and I wish we saw more of them.

This. Like.... don't ever make that speech again, Paul, please, but also... today was not the day. It really wasn't about your guilt today, Paul. I know he was probably trying to turn the convo to a way of comforting Sonny but like... not today and not about you.

If Adrienne has cancer, I would have liked a scene of her finding out. I'll even take a flashback. I just know Judi will knock it out of the park. I also want to see Justin finding out, preferably her telling him but will also take Justin finding out and asking her about it and keeping her confidence if she chooses not to share it immediately.

Paul's anti shrink so I guess Marlena's out, lol. The thing is, I could have sworn he spoke to John about this too. I don't know how many more times he has to rehash this.

Ben was a good daddy to his son that time he left him in a hotel. Because that's about all he did...

Todays, like yesterday, was watcable (with parts I enjoyed) but not great and (as someone else said) nothing that had me hooked.

I enjoyed the scene with Gabi, Sonny Paul & Chad most.
Adrianne & Lucas.
I even liked seeing Jennifer & Hope in a scene together.

Andre plotting to kill Chad? I think it was supposed to feel ominous but I just felt creepy. And I HATE the Clyde-wants-Chad's-baby thing. It's ridiculous the way he keeps referring to Thomas as Ben's son. It's just stupid. "Ben was a good father" When???????

As for Paul repeating his guilt over sleeping with Will (today of all days): Well, that's what they did with PaulSon last time round-- just repeating the same scene over & over & over (how many times did we see the flashbacks? How many times did Paul go to Sonny AGAIN & tell him, "I came out (thanks to Will, btw) We can be together now. You know if you'd just dump your husband and kid"?). Keeps them from actually giving them a real story. Same thing they did last time.

Chad says his security has been known to fail. You know. Like all last spring.

It's annoying. I feel like I've heard him bring it up and Sonny tell him he doesn't blame him about 100 times now.

I mean....this is like a Chad goodbye and it just doesn't ring true at all. There are no stakes at all.

Hope can't believe that all this running around with Rafe and Aiden hasn't ended in her catching the villains.

I'm confused about Hope/Rafe right now but like...I don't actually care.

So...Paul and Gabi called Sonny and Chad to come over to make up in the middle of three convicts on the loose where both of them are targets. Swell friends.

Also, this is stupid anyway.

Clyde looked ridiculous whipping out that gun at Andre. And Andre always looks ridiculous.

I am not even mildly enjoying this episode.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I just haven't been feeling this escaped convict storyline at all and I think it's been written very sloppily and unbelievable.

The show is more watchable now, but I feel that's only because JG and BM's work was so atrocious that literally anything would seem like an improvement.
I actually agree. This SL had potential but it hasn't played out. Too many holes in it. Too many missed opportunities. And it's glaringly obvious that this is being done on a budget...lol

This show desperately needs to scale back & focus on relationships, family more...intimate stories rather than something like this that should be BIG scale. That whole laptop ransom drop scene, for example, just felt shoddy (&it cracked me up when Big Bad Orpheus had to stop to put his reading glasses on....lmao)

I had a similar thought. Tho' I did enjoy watching the scene, it felt...I dunno...wrong time & place all things considered.

Freddie and Billy are like two robots today.
LOL it also didn't help that the dialogue writer gave them lines straight out of an after school friendship PSA to recite when they were making up. "We're supposed to be the adults here" "I need you guys...I am making bad decisions."

Does Lucas know where Allie is? I need that addressed.

Meanwhile...so is Sami now once again only gone because she can't handle being in Salem? Because last we heard it was because she was off looking for EJ.
