I liked the episode.

It started a little too far back, but the action was good. I liked Clyde being caught in the panic room and Andre's delight in pulling off the con. Gabi coming in with baby Thomas was a nice touch to rub it in Clyde's face that he failed. JJ being there for the arrest expanded the cast in a nice way for those scenes.

The scenes with Clyde at the police station could have been written sharper, but at least they did give him some there with Rafe and Aiden. I thought at one time, Clyde had some extra dirt on Aiden, but I guess that was in TomSell's head - whatever it was.

I didn't mind Aiden hovering around Hope to drive up her stress level at the station and giving her a dress to wear with his demand she meet him in his hotel room fits his agenda, but what I don't like is the repetive dialogue of "do this or I'll do that" we've heard said four times already in previous conversation. We get it. He's blackmailing her. I also think it wasteful to have Rafe and Hope share the exact same conversation too. It becomes boring fast. We also know their stance on the blackmail situation. I would have preferred having Rafe and Hope focused on the huge stakes being played out with the villains and tabled the blackmail conversation for a short change of pace.

John and Marlena had terrific scenes together! The type of focus their relationship recieved was nicely done. This is a solid couple deeply in love with each other.

I really like we have Steve being John's back up as they go off to face Orpheus together. And that Steve and Kayla's relationship is back on track. Dena and Ryan have done a fine job of putting these couples right.

Overall a decent episode that moved well throughout and had another exciting cliffhanger. I'll be watching tomorrow!

My favorite part was the big BOOM across Salem! Marlena and Kayla at the end especially!

I liked that JJ was actually used here. Two thumbs up. James read is great as a smarmy hick.

I thought Chad/Gabi was telling at the end. I couldn't help but laugh at the fact that they were willingly about to drink champagne that Andre of all people brought. Lol. Dumb, dumb, dumb. 😬 I thought it was a good choice of CB to avert her eyes while Chad was changing seeing as how her boyfriend just left. I will give her points for that. Also, it seemed to me she was uncomfortable and wanting to leave. HE was the one who seemed to instigate it all. Chad Dimera doesn't care if the girl already has a guy or not does he? I am glad she stayed...you know..for safety reasons. 🙃 However, I do wonder if she actually called JJ. ;-)

I liked Andre today, but you know he's going to go after Chad, and everyone else, again before long.

Clyde, from last year, wouldn't have fallen for that trap though.

So os this the end for Clyde?
I'm on twitter every week during the live tweets for HTGAWM & there was a tweet someone posted that this week is the wrap up for Xander & Clyde. According to spoilers I saw it's Blanca's (ex)husband Guillermo who does in Theresa (he's somehow connected to Theresa)

If this is the end of the Three Stooges SL it was a real dud :blah:  :shame:

Rafe/Hope/Aiden- snooze, but Hope with a backbone is always fantastic to see!
I just hope she doesn't lose the backbone once Aiden is gone and she & Rafe (inevitably) reunite. It's so refreshing to see this Hope back. I don't want her to disappear again & be replaced by SubmissiveHope.

In all fairness, Hope DID try to table the blackmail conversation, at least with Rafe (& even with Aiden, a bit - you could see it in her eyes darting around). It was Rafe who was trying to get Hope to talk about it. And Hope even called Rafe out on focusing on Aiden when they've got more important & bigger issues to be dealing with at the moment.

Not a bad show. A few WTF moments for me...

Marlena telling John that Orpheus hates him because John kept Orpheus from his family. How so? John killed him, but he didn't really kill him, so I don't see how John kept him from his family. Him getting sent to jail had nothing to do with John, and that's what supposedly kept him away from his children. Such vague references to history...it's annoying. Steve and Kayla have no problem being specific, why can't John and Marlena? Would it kill the writers to have J&M talk about what they went through back then in something other than just saying vague things like.."we've been through so much..."?

Steve calling Andre was nuts. And Chad and Andre bonding was nuts. Chad and Gabi having champagne was nuts. Bringing Clyde to the station to parade him in front of everyone there was dumb. I'd think they'd just bring him back to federal prison ASAP.

There's my Marlena hanging onto that humongous purse as she reacts to the explosions! Dropping her purse is unthinkable! God, I love her! :cheer: :blulaugh:

John's complimenting Marlena on knowing that Thomas was the key to take down Clyde but really, anyone could've figured that out.

Aiden is really irritating me. "Stop fighting it." "You can and you will." I wanna punch him.

It was the best episode so far! Andre being a nice guy shocked me! And Clyde, was great! Too bad that he got caught! No reunion with the baby and Ben.

Not necessarily. The first place Clyde went was to get Kate. Not Thomas. I mean I thought that was a weird choice but that was his first priority when he got out of jail.

The whole thing with Clyde and Kate was weird. Not only did he target her first, but there was the whole scene in the alley too. Plus, the Senior Scooby gang's original plan involved Kate as bait. Then, suddenly, it was all about how Thomas was the only thing that mattered to Clyde. That smacks of some kind of rewrite or change.

It's almost like they were deliberately trying to throw us off with the Kate plan (if I thought they were that smart) because yesterday it definitely was that Thomas was Marlena's idea for Clyde's trigger

I thing the magazine article last week screwed a lot of perception up too since Billy referenced changing the plan and then the dialogue yesterday made it sound like it was Marlena's plan.
