That's what I thought ,unless John told Steve off screen to go see if Kayla and Marlena are ok so he goes after Orpheus by himself.
would have been nice if Steve had mentioned that to Kayla I guess.
Yes it would, but I don't think Steve wants to worry Kayla because of her situation.

Joey sounds like he's giving Sonny relationship advice
Lol I ask myself WTH is his business. Paul needs rest not relationship advice.
It sounded to me like Joey was giving Sonny his blessing for getting together with Paul. He said it is "so obvious" that they care about each other. When has Joey spent any time with Sonny and Paul? I mean yes they are friends, but does Joey know the history between them?
I had the same question when Theo was all concerned about Kate? When have we ever seen those two interact? What's the connection if any?

I thought the same when I watched their scene. I had to stop and think if they were related and I somehow forgot.

I hope they take any Sonny/Paul stuff slow. It's good he remembers Will. Will mattered! Not because of the whole gay storyline but because Will was Sami and Lucas's son and Marlena and Roman's grandkid and it drives me crazy every time I think about it.

Wow, Blanca! Forgot she existed.

Theo and Abe are love. I love Theo. He is the only teen I'm buying. He was irrational and weird as a child with Ciara [like when they ran away together], I loved them. And Theo is the only one acting the way I imagined he would as a teen. And really any interaction with Abe is a win for me.

I'm always confused of my love for A. Martinez as Cruz from Santa Barbara and Eduardo here. i.e. I shouldn't care for Eduardo. But I'm happy that Dario [another character I give no cares for] and him reconcile.

Aren't we entering when Drake is going to hurt get injured soon?

Thursday's episode was more exciting than Friday's.

I think, if you consider the timeline, with the very confusing SORAs'ing of characters, theoretically, during most of Theo's childhood his grandfather Stefano would have been married to Kate. So on some level he must think of Kate as his grandmother.

To day was kind of Tuesday/Wednesday,Thursday episode.Ciiffhanger Fridays is no more.I liked the episode for the most part. The hate Dario had for Eduardo is likely a thing of the past unless Eduardo is stupid enough to tell Dario or Rafe his actions resulted in Orpheus,Clyde, and Xander's escape.I hope he doesn't.I don't want Rafe covering up another crime or Dario hating Eduardo again.
I liked the way the teens were used today. It made sense to have all of them in a central location where they would be safe until Xander and Orpheus have been captured. Also made sense to have them help out answering the phones, keeping medical supplies available for use by hospital staff so that the health care professionals could concentrate on the injure.I actually thought Vivian did okay in her scenes with Kayla and the other teens.

I took that as a throwback when Kate and Stefano were married since Theo is Stefano' s grandson and he used to visit the mansion. Kate was always fond of the grandchildren. I'm the minority. I thought the scene was sweet.

Really? In what world (other than a soap opera) does this make sense? Why aren't these kids at home? Or in the college dorm (shouldn't Salem U be on lock down with bombs going off all over town?) Why would kids who just graduated high school & who aren't hospital employees be answering the phones or handling medical supplies? If this had been a bit more chaotic and seemed more of a disaster or emergency I might have bought it, but since this was sooooo underplayed/underdeveloped...No.

Reminds me of when Claire snuck out & when they brought her home and Mar was all, "we're just glad you're safe" & claire had to scold HERSELF. My grandmother woulda been like, "Girl, you better sit your ass down on that couch! And give me your damn cell phone. You MIGHT get it back when you turn 21. If you live that long." lol

^ My face watching DAYS

This was a terrible episode...my god...the villain story is a complete fail...i have given it a fair chance...and really wanted to love it...but I just dont...I hate it completely.

Freddie Smith was the worst I have ever seen him...those scenes where Sonny was trying to wake Paul up were SOOO SOO bad...I mean BAAAAD....almost Emmy-revoking bad...I was cringing.

LOL at not seeing the bombing actually happen...man I miss when this show had a budget.

I wish they honestly would not do these stupid stunts if we dont get to see them actually happen...it makes the show feel so pathetic and cheap.

There is just no story here though, no substance...once again Dena has proven all she knows how to do is write "events" not stories...and while she usually is good at her stunts and events....this one is by far her worst.

This does not bode well for November Sweeps and after....I really and not excited at all...the only morsel of hope for me right now is the upcoming returns of Eric/Caustin/Anna.

Nonsense! There was a woman with blood and a bandage on her head, bloody arm, and she was standing... at the nurses desk... looking like she was in pain and about to pass out..

At least a random extra got to act for the day.

This quote from Erika Skezak always helps get to the crux of Dena Higley's writing abilities...

Quote:

Q: Dena may be a fan of yours, but she’s not a Viki fan. A: No she is not. Dena makes noises of, “Oh yes you are wonderful, this and that” and then she writes nothing. She wants to write for her own characters and she wants to write stories that she thinks are interesting but nobody else does. She doesn’t write stories, she writes events. It’s like one event – let’s have a bomb, let’s have a plane crash – but there is no story.

First I avoid the teen scene like the plague.

Loved Sonny and Paul, and loved that Paul will be the reluctant guy.

Sonny~Joey seemed odd

and...I found Dario likable for the first time.

How did Sonny know where Paul was? He just happened to arrive at John & Marlena' s place as the explosion happened?
no he told Paul I came checking on John and Marlena...mostly you...he was looking for him.

If they had actually tried to have Freddie and Christopher simulate real mouth-to-mouth, it probably would've been cringe-worthy, let's be real. That probably takes a little bit of time, logistically speaking, to coordinate and try to make look real, and knowing their break-neck shooting schedule, it doesn't surprise me they just avoided it altogether instead of spending time on it.

Also, in response to what Horitafan said, I'm not inferring anything at all from this scene about how they portray PaulSon as a "couple", because 1) they aren't in a relationship and 2) CPR is not sexual. I suppose it's fairly likely we would've seen something overtly romantic after a scene like that from Rope or Dicole, but Rope and Dicole are together.
Don't know if its the same in US but in Australia they don't do mouth to mouth any more just the heart compressions.

last time I researched CPR which was about 1 minute ago they still do mouth to mouth.

I read this I interview a while ago while I never watched One Life To Live. I had heard of Erika Slezak. After reading her comments I could see Dena Higley repeating a lot of the same things with Days Of Our Lives. What happens after this current big event is namely the prisoner escape is over.

Freddie is usually so chill in his scenes, I thought it was nice seeing him completely freaked out for once and it was appropriate in this situation. The way he acted this scene worked for me, I really liked it.

I don't understand why they didn't do a scene like that and had Sonny find Will's body last year, it would have been so much better than Gabi finding the body and Victor telling Sonny over the phone.
