I love that we are seeing so much of Julie but where is Doug?

I completely agree. I hope Doug's absence has nothing to do with BH's health. It's possible he has asked to only be used when really needed, like real family episodes, like Christmas.

Please don't read anything into my comment as a reflection on BH's health. I don't know anything. I haven't heard any rumors. It's just pure speculation on my part as to why SSH is being used but BH is not. He is, afterall, 91 years old.

Yeah, I'm guessing they only use Doug when Bill's up for it. It's still hard to believe the man is 91 years old. His appearance doesn't show that age, but he might certainly feel 91 and not be able to appear as much as he used to or as much as the show might want to show him currently.

Same goes for Peggy McCay. She's 88.

We should be seeing Doug/Bill soon since we saw him dressed for the Halloween gala.

Yes, I'm hoping for some Julie/Gabi scenes. Until yesterday's episode, I didn't know Gabi even knew Julie didn't like her or her dating JJ. Those are scenes we should be seeing if Julie's going to be a conflict for JJ and Gabi. Don't just tell me. Show me.
I would love to see that play out on the screen and see if any type of relationship can be formed with Gabi and Julie. Julie does know how much JJ cares for her.

They wear makeup on the set. Seen pics without makeup with for Bill, but I have to say, good bless him and others who can still act. Ah, I still miss the lady who played the great Alice Horton. And still miss Joe M. aka Stefano Dimera.

This was a while ago, but I remember them tweeting that they would be happy if the show used them more.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Gabi killed Nick. Julie doesn't have to like Gabi. Gabi should stop whining about Julie not liking her. What did she expect?

But Julie should know what her rotten nephew did to her and even to Will Horton. Then she would not be harsh to Gabi.
Yes .... but Gabi had lots of people around her who could of helped her deal with Nick if she hadn't of been so self involved.

She should have owned up to Kate, Sami and her pushing him in the river after he tried to rape her.
He could of been forced back to jail or given the help he obviously required.

I think beyond that (which I think is victim blaming) Julie knows that just before Gabi killed him, Nick had decided to turn his life around. While that doesn't change any of what Nick had done or the fear he had instilled in her, it does provide a different context for Julie...who isn't the most level-headed person in Salem as it is.

Julie was always good at holding a grudge, lol. I think it's funny that Gabi is intimidated by a woman 40+ years older than she is giving her the evil-eye. :blulaugh:

Gabi has a really good case to present to Julie, lol. I mean, Julie is definitely allowed to not be comfortable with Gabi, but Nick did try to rape her. I am way more attached to Julie than to Gabi and I lamented the direction they took Nick in because I loved him as a viable on-canvas character, but that's still the story.

That's actually why Gabi hiding out? at Chad's puzzles me a little bit. I get that it's awkward, but has she tried making her point to Julie at all? It's hard to know what to think since it hasn't been addressed as happening or not happening. Also, it is Jennifer's house, and Jennifer can make it clear to Julie that she should lay off Gabi so long as Gabi's living there. If she stays with JJ she's going to have to eventually broach the subject anyway. But again, maybe this is a signal that she isn't really in it to win it. And it's not the only relationship Gabi has that seems odd to me because of the lack of sensible after-effects of character history.

Thank you JCP.

Is that the outfits that Kayla and Steve wore when they were on the run on the train?

No. They are similar, but the train was in summer of '87 and this was Halloween of '88. The colors are different too. Steve's outfit on the train was black, not brown. And Kayla didn't have a wig on the train.

I wonder whether Chad's costume came out of storage or whether they bought some new ones.

I don't mind Julie being offended by Gabi. I still want a scene where Julie and Gabi can argue. But I want Julie to realize, that her nephew raped Gabi. He was not right in his mind when he went on revenge against Gabi, Sami & Kate. Actually mostly on Kate & Sami.

Oh I agree that Gabi and Julie need to have it out. I find it incredibly weird that it hasn't happened yet since JJ and Gabi have been dating for enough time now. It goes back to how JJabi were so underdeveloped and then all of a sudden they were thrown into this crisis phase because they needed to make something happen before Abby returned.

Carrie would be kidnapped that Halloween.

And Roman's costume was the most amazing thing.
