Who else is to blame for it?

What ever airing is written by the writers so its not surprising he blames the writers for ratings being low and wouldn't surprise if we see Dena out soon if these ratings don't pick up. I am betting if ratings are not at least 2.5 to 2.7 million viewers by the end of sweeps we see another writer change.
Corday himself :blulaugh: . He is the EP, he chooses writers and is involved (or at least should be involved) in all the important writing decisions.
Was Corday ever hit between the eyes with a golf ball or golf club? lol

I hate that we're in a place right now where our choices are either Keep Dena or Another Regime Change.

If JJ is a detective, is it possible that one (or more) of Hope/Rafe/Roman no longer is?

This is one of my biggest issues with Corday. Why take Dena back repeatedly when he has had such behind-the-scenes drama AND bad ratings? I'd much rather he keep trying new head writers (even like Ryan Quan and someone else new) than try things that we know do not work...

Glad to see Spears still on the show. I hope they do more with his character.
I wouldn't have minded if they had made him Jonah and brought back Wendy and Benjamin. #missedopportunities

Well there will only be a choice if the show gets another season...

Thank you JCP.

I tell you, that Corday is not getting rid of her. He is going with her till the show is cancelled. Unless Sony and NBC insists, he won't do it.

I think he bring back Tomsell if the show gets renewed they were the last writers to really good ratings especially in the demos in 2013 and early 2014 and we all know Corday always goes back he done with Dena so why not Tomsell.

If their ratings don't improve and NBC still wants to renew they'll probably ask for regime change.

Y&R just got the writers (and the EP earlier in the year). CBS was clearly behind it.

I think there's a chance of GT coming back if the show is renewed and they have to cut the costs. He is good at it.lol And, second, he has long history with NBC. He probably knows about KC's paranoia (I mean wikkileaks info) though lol.
Who could be other people NBC would trust with writing/producing a soap opera?

Wait a minute! After all this silly build up with Aiden and Hope and blackmail, he all of a sudden decides to be nice and leave town? And that's it?!

WTF is up with these writers?!
It kinda sounds like the Aiden story was rewritten and DC's exit was changed. As for the Rope stuff, it sounds like we're just supposed to accept them as the second coming of Bope and that their relationship really isn't worth exploring & journeying from a romantic POV, so we should all just accept that Rope is here to stay and that they won't be breaking up any time soon. Also, any stories they're in are gonna have nothing to do with them being together (at least not at the core).
So now we all just wait to find out if Rafe moves in with Hope & Ciara, or if Hope & Ciara move in with Rafe. (I can cut the tense anticipation on this board with a knife. lol.)

Galen is delusional if he genuinely thinks that the majority of fans are going to want to join Rope on this journey.
Welcome to the rewrite of Safe. Wait until Ciara will consider Rafe her second daddy. Watch out for plaid. It's all in the plaid.

Ali and James NBC adored them make them the new writers Alison already a director on GH and Days and they tell James to get his writing pen out they know the show they been there for years and they have respect of their fellow actors they do a better job than Dena is doing she is a terrible writer anyone is better than her.

I don't think it's Ava because the woman looks nothing like TB. But I'm not getting Lani because the woman looks awfully Caucasian to me.
It looks like Blanca to me. I don't know if she's still around though, so

I'd rather set my hair on fire than watch one iota of Ali and James returning. I have less than zero interest in an Ejami resurgence.

I admit that Tomlin and Whitesell did well with ratings for a while, but they also tanked them for a while too. And regardless, I don't think ratings are dependent specifically on which characters are featured, although I think continuity matters. IMO it's mostly about storyline build-up and pay-off, and Days can't seem to get both parts of that right for sustained amounts of time.

I would take one writer who is really good at storytelling structure, and one writer who is really good with Days history and characterization. They'd have to be people who are willing to put the show's needs above their own egos.

I liked their writing for ED/Kristen. They also brought us GV. But I could have done without the elephant storyline and the return of Molly Burnett. But I overall liked them early on.

They wrote Jennifer terribly and I still don't truly get why. The worst of the Dannifer stuff was under them and that has to count for, like, three strikes instead of just one.
