Personally, I find Andre cartoonish no depth more like a character that you use in a farce. Kate could have been a character to be reckoned with, bad ass women strong etc but instead I find her pathetic nowadays.
Andre is a scary character to me remember that time he use to torture Sami and EJ i used hate him and never forget that clown scene with Sami great acting by Thaao and Ali poor Sami looked so scared.
Do you even know how they're currently writing him?

I see him recently on Days and i don't think they changed him that much may be made him a bit softer but i watch the some of the 50th from last year you that episode he had Sami kidnapped and he frightened the life out of me he was still scary well to me anyway.

I admit that Tomlin and Whitesell did well with ratings for a while, but they also tanked them for a while too. And regardless, I don't think ratings are dependent specifically on which characters are featured, although I think continuity matters. IMO it's mostly about storyline build-up and pay-off, and Days can't seem to get both parts of that right for sustained amounts of time.

I would take one writer who is really good at storytelling structure, and one writer who is really good with Days history and characterization. They'd have to be people who are willing to put the show's needs above their own egos.
I liked their writing for ED/Kristen. They also brought us GV. But I could have done without the elephant storyline and the return of Molly Burnett. But I overall liked them early on.
I didn't like one minute of what they wrote for Kristen. None of it made sense, from Stefano bringing her back to anything after that.

Is Afterbuzz still doing a weekly Days thing? I feel like I don't hear about it much anymore.

Not all women. But Chloe? Yes. And remember when I called out sexism? We are supposed to think it's funny when Victor calls her a slut and Demois laughs. That's what I mean by sexism that pisses me off. First of all, I don't think Chloe is a slut. But even if she was, I don't like seeing childish sexist comments from the likes of Victor. He's disgusting.
Victor's misogyny is awful. It's not even funny and I wish they'd stop with it. He literally calls every woman that he talks about a whore, slut, bitch, etc.
I think he even called Marlena a name. He's like the Donald.

Btw, its a very bad PR what Corday is doing. For his own (and the show's) sake he (they) should just change writers when it's needed and stop talking about what was not ok, what he didn't like etc. That's not how you make people invested in your show.
I wish Days let their writers talk more in press or social media. Have we ever had an interview with GT and CW?
I think back in the 90's Reilly was always the one that did the most talking. Life was good for Corday back then--he let Reilly do whatever he wanted for the most part.

Was J.E.Reilly good at it :D ?

This could be entirely fabricated. But. I remember reading years ago that Corday started doing all these interviews after one of the regime changes/budget cuts, and it was part of a deal that minimized his role in the actual production of the show, but left him as the mouthpiece.

I can't remember if he didn't do much of this before that, though (and I think this would have been around 2008 or 2009).

Much better. He didn't use a dumb analogy every other sentence ;)

I know I always enjoyed his interviews, unlike Corday. Corday usually pissed me off, but Reilly made me excited about what was coming up next. He was good at dangling carrots and enticing you.
ETA: I used to collect quotes and I had a lot of Reilly quotes but maybe only one or two Corday quotes.

I think there's a chance of GT coming back if the show is renewed and they have to cut the costs. He is good at it.lol And, second, he has long history with NBC. He probably knows about KC's paranoia (I mean wikkileaks info) though lol.
Who could be other people NBC would trust with writing/producing a soap opera?
Ali and James NBC adored them make them the new writers Alison already a director on GH and Days and they tell James to get his writing pen out they know the show they been there for years and they have respect of their fellow actors they do a better job than Dena is doing she is a terrible writer anyone is better than her.
Oh really - that 19 minute long show was enough and Aiden and his bird - I don't need a week long special episode where everyone reunites with their inner being via dessert. / desert.

I always thought it was weird how Tomlin and Whitesell never did any interviews. I don't recall that with any other head writing regimes.

Watched it!! It was OK loved hearing Thaao talk about Joe and being the first DiMera, he's such a mellow person. I love him.

Lauren had some great stuff too. But I found it a bit boring. loved her taking about Peck cause it made me realize that Austin Peck's Austin was much more warm and giving.. Patrick Muldoon's was a bit more detached, Peck's Austin was just more loving and a lot guidable LOL!!

I wonder if Thaao was talking about Eileen Davidson... of course he didn't name names lol but he said big actress now and had a few issues with her...

I doubt he had issues with ED. She is featured in his book (the one about food).

Not sure about the "big" comment but didn't he have issues with Ali?

She doesn't seem to be working much. She posted a lot on snapchat last week and she was out doing stuff during the day.
