Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Would they? I mean, she could have gotten pregnant while they were in California which is around the time Chloe got pregnant.
What would be the point of switching those babies? But I'm up for it I'd rather Nicole raised the grandbaby of Kayla and Steve than another Jonas spawn. What's ever the point of switching any babies?

Jade probably will be willing to give her baby for adoption. Deimos will want to adopt "his" son and raise him with Nicole. Here we have the reason for baby switch.
There's also another typical soap plot - one of the babies dies (miscarriage or after the birth).

Well, it depends on whether we are talking Days time or real time, I guess. Maybe it's just the timing of finding out that's throwing me off, but I feel like Chloe found out a couple months ago at least. But yeah, they could have similar timing. And it certainly seems unlikely that Dena could resist a switch, even if I can't see how that would happen just yet. Jade might have found a couple of months ago, too. She hasn't been onscreen or in Salem.

Y'all. If Jade is pregnant and Chloe is pregnant, what are the odds that those babies DON'T get switched?
Not that timing matters a whit on this show, but the babies would be months apart. Makes it harder to switch.
Would they? I mean, she could have gotten pregnant while they were in California which is around the time Chloe got pregnant. When was the last time we saw her? I bet they say she got pregnant at the commune. Which is when Chloe got pregnant.

I'm just trying to figure out who and why would switch the babies. I mean, I know that the show doesn't need a "real" reason, but I can't even think of a fake one at the moment.

I just can't imagine Dena writing two simultaneous pregnancies and there not being some sort of switch or steal.

Hmm, I suppose I could see Dena writing a story where Nicole's baby is stolen from her this time around. Like Jade's baby dies, but she wants to hold onto Joey, so she steals Chloe's (which is really Nicole's) kid. The only (well, not only) problem with that is it would end with Nicole thinking she'd lost another kid which would be bad for oh so many reasons.

I read some Fall Previews over at the Chabby board. Nothing on Abby yet. Same old thing with Chad and Gabi bonding over being single parents and their past. They didn't come out and say Jade is pregnant, but it almost certainly sounds like she is. ^o) Theo and Claire investigate Valerie's past. Rafe scrambles to help Hope, but that's what Andre wants. Shawn returns to support Hope. What boring fall previews.

What boring fall previews. Yeah. SID usually doesn't list all of them. Voldy usually does. Hopefully the rest are better.

I mean...it wouldn't end with that at all. It would end with her getting her baby back. But there are so many problems with that anyway that I don't know where to begin. Right, I shouldn't have said "end." I meant it would involve Nicole potentially thinking another kid had died. Of course, if Nicole didn't know it was her kid yet, that wouldn't be a factor. Let's assume Chloe hasn't told her and is conflicted about the whole thing. Then just as Chloe realizes she can't keep the truth from Nicole, she believes the baby has died. No use telling Nicole now.
Meanwhile, Joey and Jade bond with baby. Then somebody (Eric?) gets a clue and unravels the whole story. The baby is returned to Chloe, who tearfully admits the truth to Nicole. Nicole gets her miracle baby (thanks to Eric). Jade's secret is exposed and Joey dumps her for good (and, hopefully, gets his brain back in the process). Steve and Kayla lose their grandchild, but Nicole being Nicole lets them have a relationship with said kid.
Yeah, I could see that story on Dena's post-it notes.

And maybe I'm just easy, but I'd totally watch that like this:  It really isn't that bad. The biggest problem with it is that it's another baby swap story and that the conception of the Nicole baby is so bizarre. But like...that narrative isn't so bad. My Espy.

Oh, congrats for getting Eric in there. That actually works, lol. I'll write that on the post its I'm planning to throw at Dena. You know, sometimes you just get inspired. :)
And, as I was writing it, I was thinking that this was not really that bad. Which, unfortunately, means it's unlikely to actually happen. Unless you succeed in your post-it mission. In which case, I smell another Emmy.
I might need to tweak it some more because I feel like John, Marlena, and Steve's jacket should be part of the story somehow. ;)
