Pregnant Jade does not= as backburnered a Joey as I prefer. Just saying.

I know most people will be grateful for this, but it's really weird that, after two Hope-heavy weeks (essentially ending in her confessing & being arrested/booked/processed/etc), we get no movement on the story apart from the one Hope/Andre-inclusive episode.

True. But Joey indicating he wants to end things with Jade (before her "stunning" announcement) might indicate that the brain cells he found during the Orpheus stuff might have stuck around. So, you know, small favors and all that.

Cold comfort if he's sucked back in. So Jade spawn... Joeys? Jade gets pregnant right quick because Joey is dumping her, Trip's from her trip to Grandma's house?

I don't see how she can be far enough along to have a baby switch with Chloe so is this the kid Rafe adopts? Because as much as I need less Joey? I really, really, really, really need less Rafe.

But maybe her pregnancy will SORAS. Johnson babies do not spend an inordinate amount of time in the womb... see Joey and Thomas.

Gabi comes to Chad's rescue.

Why do the writers have to continue to make Chad look so weak and helpless that he can't do anything on his own?

He's beginning to look worst than Brady, if that's possible. lol

Simple: they need Chad to fall for Gabi, so they're gonna make Gabi the only female who seems to be capable of doing anything on her own just so that she can save Chad & he will be grateful to her for it.

The writers are incapable of writing couples where both halves are strong, independent, & capable of doing things on their own. Hope/Kayla/Marlena (for whatever reason) need Rafe/Steve/John to save them from every trial & tribulation, & the "Kiriakis men" are just a whole other mess of feeling superior & invincible.

If Days is going to do a teen pregnancy story for Joey/Jade, I would prefer Joey be recast. JLa's performances are too hit or miss for me to even care about Joey having a kid, even if it's Steve and Kayla's grandchild.

The amount of Gabi and Chad scenes has become ridiculous at this point in comparison to the amount of scenes she has with JJ. JJ's POV has been been neglected while we watch Gabi and Chad spend time together. I swear as Chad's stylist, Gabi has worked with Chad more than any other DE employee recently including Kate and Andre.

JJ's character deserves better than this IMO.

So let's see Abby returns on Thur (Yay!!) and Gabi finds out JJ's secret on Friday....OH EM GEE...I wonder what could possibly happen after that?! LOL.

It seems obvious that Gabi will be hurt and will turn to Chad for comfort (sex.) I'm just glad it will likely happen before Chad finds out Abby is alive and after Gabi finds out that JJ has betrayed her somehow (so no cheating). One word: REBOUND.

I'm sure Abby is going to see them together and assume Chad's moved on. Will she consider leaving again but decide to stay for Thomas' sake only? Or will she decide to "fight" for her marriage as well? I'm really looking forward to seeing Marci play all this out.

Since I'm sure Abby will be lurking around Salem for awhile, I hope she overhears Chad telling Thomas that he loves/misses his mom and that he would be with her if he could. Abby needs to hear all that. I really hope they build up Chabby's big reunion scene. I'm dying to finally see Marci & Billy on screen together!

With Dena writing this I have very low expectations since none of the return stories have been good but all I can do is hope for the best!
I love your post Silver!

I too am having to lower my expectations. Lol. I bet she will stay for Thomas at first but then will eventually start to try for her marriage. At least that's what I hope this story is about. I hope we get to see Billy and Marci in enough scenes to see how they play off each other. If anything, I think BF's tweets will be interesting and entertaining.

And Gabi comes to Chad's rescue? Puhlease. When the writers send Chad to Abby's fundraiser late in coordinated costume with another chick....I just can't. Ever. Oh wait...is that another Brady I see? Helpless? Can't be alone? Maybe even...selfish? Uh oh. 😳

Oh wait...it's November. That's right. The month the wife comes back. So that means it's time to lay it on thick with the gabi love. Oh this show! So obvious! ;-)

girl, I am with you!

After her flirtfest with Chad while her boyfriend is in a coma (of all things), I just can't even take their scenes seriously anymore.

IDK Marlena did a pretty good job of coming up with a plan to save the whole town from the villains. She certainly didn't wait for John to figure it out.

I want to like that they have a female coming to a guy's rescue, but Gabi is dumber than a box of hair and I don't really get why they keep harping on Chad being defenseless (in many ways) when they've made him their male lead. It's weird.

Since Gabi became his stylist, Chad has been wearing the old man sweaters again. At least in recent episodes.

Absolutely! I use to love when Hope/Marlena would come to John/Bo's rescue. Loved those times!

Chad is the strongest leading man in this age group and there're making him look so weak. All for this boring JJ/Gabi mess.

I don't care what they do with JJ/Gabi. They bore me. Chad is the one I care about. They need to start giving him better writing. He's the strongest leading man in his age group.

I hear you. I've spent almost all of the last year wondering where the real Hope has disappeared to. On rare occasions, I see a glimmer of who Hope really is, but even when RealHope appears, she doesn't stick around for very long (usually she doesn't even last through an entire episode).
