My problem with their "adventure" stories is not the characters featured. It's predictability. Who thinks, Kayla and Marlena will die? Nobody lol. It's kind of pointless to worry and care lol.
But that's always been the case. I was watching 30 years ago and thanks to Voldy, I almost always knew who would make it and who wouldn't. S&K were in all kinds of life or death situations but I never thought they were actually being killed off (until SN decided to leave the show).

It wasn't the not knowing that kept me glued to the screen. It was how all of it impacted the characters. That's what is missing now. We get barely any reactions and I'm sure the fallout will be the standard minimal amount for Dena's writing.

Heaven forbid Brady get involved.
No way Brady would care. He might not make Hope his priority, but if Maggie sneezed, he'd have to make sure she was okay. And he can't do anything unless Victor and/or Deimos okay it.

Plus, he'd have to remember he was related to the Blacks.
Worse is the very real possibility that Brady worried that Orph might next go after Theresa or Victor or Maggie finds where Marlena and Kay are being held and has that place fire bombed because he's got to protect his family.

Surely she can't call him Daniel wasn't the other baby called Daniel?

I guess that may be the silver lining.
She could swap the order and call this one Rafael Daniel. Maybe throw a Deimos in there as a second middle name to twist the knife for the Ericole fans.
She should just call him Lucas.

I'd love for her to adopt a little boy only to find out later that it is a Baby Ejole and that he was kidnapped by Cameron (who doesn't need to come back onscreen).
I would substitute Daniel for Cameron and had him sell Nicole's son to pay off his gambling debts. :blulaugh:
Or to pay the settlement amount from patients threatening to sue him for inappropriate sexual advances.
