Theresa and her ex who looks old enough to be her dad are having a riveting conversation about their past.

Deimos is threatening Nancy. Charming.

It was good to see Shane.

I really wish they would get Nicole away from Deimos.

Maggie, Victor and Jennifer talking about poor little Hope. Because what esle is anyone is supposed to talk about in Salem.

More Kiriakis men talk between Brady and Sonny.
So when will Brady go visit Marlena? If this was Maggie, he would have been there ASAP with muffins.

I really wish they would get Nicole away from Deimos and give her a better storyline. "sigh"

To bad Deimos doesn't get lost on his way back to Salem. To never be heard from again.

Outside of the adorable sisterly moment between Jennifer and Adrienne this episode was utter trash.

Well I don't hate the set up for Marlena. She asked for John and Roman said he had to answer questions with the cops and sent Roman so she wasn't alone. And Marlena told Roman she never gave up and knew John would find her. Plus Paul and Brady prayed for J&M. Best of a bad situation.
Aww Brady! You prayed for J&M!!? I think I'll give you a pass today!! I promise I won't say or think anything bad about you today.

It was great to see Shane. Even though he was warning the bug.... Why the drug cartel dude wants the bug back is puzzling.

It was great seeing Nancy. Enjoyed her talk with Philip and LOVED her going into mama bear mode when the ex-con threatened her. Sic 'em Nancy!! :blulaugh:

Thank you JCP.

I watched the Lucas, Jenn, and Adrienne stuff and poor Shane, at least on his next return it won't involve Theresa.

I enjoyed today's episode. I think I am going to enjoy things a bit more now that the villain stuff is over. That story wasn't bad but it was just too big for the show in it's current form and it was nothing more than glorified filler and a way to transition the show a bit.

One thing I have to say (and I mean no offense to any of the live tweeters and those who bring those tweets here as they are appreciated and helpful in many ways) is that things often play out much differently than the tweets indicate. For instance, today's scenes with Jennifer and Adrienne. If you read many of the live tweets, it came off like it was all about Hope in terms of the motivation behind them purchasing The Spectator. That wasn't the case. Yes, it was mentioned but they also mentioned how the it had gone downhill since Jack left. And, honestly, I like tying it in with Hope. Otherwise, this comes out of nowhere. Using the Hope situation to bring how bad the coverage in the paper has gotten to the forefront is actually a very sensible and smart way to write this. I love how it all came about.

I hate the Hope/Stefano mess too but I don't think this is anywhere close to a "Hopefest" like last year was. Yes, we have characters talking about her situation but they should be. That is how the canvas should work. Has there been some annoyances like Roman not being as involved in the Orpheus stuff as he should have been yesterday? Yes. However, I don't see it as being as bad as last year and earlier this year. The scenes with Hope and Chad yesterday were really good and I love how they have played this in regards to Hope. The part that isn't working for me as Rafe. They have really destroyed what good the character had going for him. Same for Roman. But they are salvaging Hope right now IMO.

As for the rest of today, I enjoyed it. I do feel they are rushing the Theresa stuff a little but it is obvious Jen Lilley had schedule issues the past few months so it is what it is. The baby story seems to be improving as there is finally some movement.

I see a light at the tunnel as I feel like by year's end most of these stories will be transition into other stories. It really is 2008 all over again with the Fall being the blow off essentially of all the garbage stories the show had going on most of the year. If 2017 ends up being like 2009 was as a followup to 2008, I will be very happy because that year (along with 2013) were the best and most consistently entertaining years Days has had (along with 2002 and late 2006-2007).

Anyway, this works fine. Honey, you look horrific.

I'm glad to know the show watches better than the Tweets - sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. I'm so sick of Hope at this point I would be pleased if NO ONE mentioned her again but I know that's not going to happen.

The problem isn't people talking about Hope's problems (well, it's not the only problem). The bigger issue is that Hope is the focus to the exclusion of EVERYTHING else.

Kayla has brain surgery and is in an unsettled situation with Steve. Hope comes to visit. Do they talk about Kayla's stuff? Nope, we get one line of dialogue and then it's on to Hope's problems with Rafe and Aiden.

Jennifer is fighting a drug addiction and loses her daughter. Hope comes to see Jennifer. Do they talk about Jen's issues? Nope, we get Hope confessing that she killed Stefano and Jennifer comforting her.

Three villains are on the loose in Salem. Do we see Hope trying to protect her friends and family? Being worried about Joey and Claire? Nope. We see her talking to Rafe about Aiden, or dealing with Aiden. With the sole exception of the pub scene with Jennifer's explosive vest. That's it. And that, of course, was about Hope being a hero (and reaching out to Rafe). It wasn't even about Jennifer, really.

Marlena comes up with the profiles on the convicts. J&M and S&K recruit people to help with the plans to bring them down. Who gets the award from the City? Hope and Rafe.

Kayla and Marlena are kidnapped. Roman can't even be bothered to help. Why? Because he's too busy dealing with Hope's confession to a crime she committed. Oh, and they couldn't dare not have Steve and John find out about it in the midst of their crisis.

Jennifer and Adrienne decide to buy the Spectator. Why? Because they don't like the coverage of Hope. Surely, the Spectator didn't became a bad paper overnight. But this is what sends them over the edge. Hope.

So yeah, I'll stick with my #Hopefest2016 description.

So instead of the square, St Luke's becomes the meeting place for Salemites. Actually I'm okay with that. It's time the church sets were used again. Because I'm not a fan of Theresa's I really don't feel bad for her situation now at all. The best part of her departure storyline besides the fact she is actually leaving is that it facilitates the return of Shane and Kimberly. It was so great to see Shane today and I loved that he only called Theresa by her given name of Jeanie. As for Mateo - he does look way older than her. If he really wanted Theresa back being as he's the leader of the biggest drug cartel in the world, why is he sitting on a park bench chatting to her - don't drug lords usually just take what they consider to be theirs.

I liked the conversation between Philip and Nancy. And yes it was very nice to see Nancy back even though she's supposed to be in New York and there's not another soul around her or no street noises as she sits at an outdoor café or outdoor terrace LOL!

Nicole for heaven's sake stop grovelling every time you see Deimos. It's like Daniel revisited. You have nothing to be sorry for. Your loyalty had to be to a long time friend not some guy you barely knew at the time you made the promise.

I think Nancy handled Deimos quite well. Did he really think all he had to was demand and she'd cower and quiver and give up the goods! What an a$$!

The scenes between Jennifer and Adrienne were excellent. They really conveyed their excitement and joy about buying the Spectator and being partners. That's the happiest I've seen either in a long, long time. Loved that Jack's picture was featured as well. And it was nice to see a moment between Maggie and Jen - it's about time someone remembered they've always had a very close relationship.

Glad we got to see a little bit of Marlena. I wonder if they're just going to treat Drake's absence using throw away lines like - John had to wait and answer some questions from the police. Wished Kayla and Steve would have been on. There was a lot of throw away stuff today ... like Paul and Brady, Brady and Sonny, Brady and Theresa in the square but I guess those last two are all part of Theresa's exit story.

The best part aside from seeing Shane and Nancy was Philip and Nicole's conversation and Nicole finding out that Deimos is in fact not the father of Chloe's baby.

What is wrong with Brady not even care to say Marlena's name ? Why he's spending too much time with Theresa when he could go visit his mom?
