Days is becoming a joke these are must be the worst ratings Days has ever over such a long period and these writers have to be the worst ever as well you think with being new writers the show would got a big bump by now. But two months on after their new material started airing the ratings are the same may even worse than before they new stuff started airing. Say what you like about Tomsell at least when their new stuff aired they gained the show a huge bump yes i know they went down after that a bit but never awful like this. I wonder what Corday is thinking about this he changes writers again and nothing has changed he told us Days would be great again in August and start watching from September i am sure he expected Days get some big bumps not continuing to tank big time.

They broke their trend of crashing and burning at the end of the week. I think they have a plan, so I don't much care. |

When you say plan you mean major casts cuts or talking about still keeping the show on air even with these low ratings i must admit expected Days to least be around 2.5 million or even higher by now mainly because with new writing they always a bump usually at the start of when their new material airs but these writers not experienced that at all. |

I'm not going to have the same conversation with you every single week. Especially when you don't even watch the show. I said I think they have a plan. |

You're not the only fan in the UK that posts on these boards. I don't care if you're a fan or not. I'm not having the same conversation with you week after week. |

In his interview for the 13,000th episode, Corday said something about watching from September until Christmas. Maybe they have a really strong December and they are banking on that. |

Posted Image Here's a comparison of the pourcentage of viewers lost since January (typically the most-watched month of the year). You can see that B&B is the most stable soap overall. Days is down the most mainly because of the collapse during the first trimester. |

The thing is they have no idea what the audience wants to see and what storytelling will work. So his words don't mean much. I'm not trying to be offensive or negative, I can understand how difficult it is to predict these things. |

Thanks for the graph. Very interesting. I thought GH was more stable, maybe because ratings show they are not that much down from last year. Days and Y&R (and B&B) losses in W18-34 are scary. Edited by thepadange, Nov 5 2016, 05:35 AM.

Idk what, but I do think I they were counting on something in December. I think they may be forced to take action before we get there though. I don't think the big break is just for the holidays . |

Especially if you're 6 months ahead of what is airing. You're working in a bubble. Depending on your own feelings about what the audience wants. That only works if you truly know and previous changes have indicated that they don't. They announce people are returning to try and get people to come back. What will make people come back is writing good stories consistently. It may take a while, but eventually people will return. They've told us before, without nothing to back it up. It's like the boy who called wolf. People aren't falling for the promises anymore. |
