I'm actually enjoying the Reed stuff. I like that they are defining his character well. Most new young characters have zero personality. Although Reed being used to prop Villy is obviously not my cup of tea. I could do without the Billy and Victoria scenes bonding over Reed.
The actor is good but I think he needs to get some teen friends asap which will make him much more interesting. If all he does is Villy propping for months, then no I will not be interested in Reed. and we have enough people propping Villy already.

and we have enough people propping Villy already. Too many :blulaugh: . Some of them don't even make sense (Nikki). At this point I wouldn't be surprised if Victor started propping Billy boy :blulaugh: and Villy.

It's more about that "poor Nick" needs a nanny.
What a crock. "Poor" Nick has enough money to hire a slew of nannies. One for every day of the week! The way Greasy-Dickolas is being written, I am expecting him to seeking some section-8, or trying to score some welfare money to buy baby food.

It must be coming. Mr. Rogers in a leather jacket likes everyone now. When Victurd starts propping Villy, then we will know that the new regime done gone mad. at this point, he is only one not propping Villy.

I was over on another board and someone said that there was an interview coming out where EB had complained that they had made......I think she said he said a toothless tiger. lol Supposedly he's not happy with this version of Victor.

At least we'll see nuDylan tomorrow.
Does that mean they won't kill off the character? Is that the inside scoop on what will happen - a re-cast? That's great news! ;)
No it's SB, he just looks very different undercover. Sorry :'( . :puterpunch: That hurt.

The show is starting to get boring. Too much focus on Gloria and Nick.
I want them to show more fallout of Hilary/Devon since the accident, more Jill vs anyone, more from Ashley, Ravi and developing this stalker storyline (if that's the direction their taking).
Gloria has had some funny lines but she's in the drivers seat for this entire damn storyline and that needs to stop. The focus should be on Lauren but no, it's all about goofy ass Gloria.
Also enough with showing us how great of a father Nick is because I don't care. I'd rather see Sharon with her kids instead. She always makes those scenes very powerful. Nick just talks like a frat boy with his children, it's not cute. It's cringey.
Victor and Nikki playing chess, no thanks. I was never a fan of Gloria, Kevin and Chloe but I don't mind them this time around. Maybe it will change soon but so far so good.

It wasn't overkill at that point. I know it just started but I hope the Fenmore's story doesn't turn into another Gloria centric face cream fiasco. That was too much. I like Gloria but more as a supporting player/comic relief.

Is it just me or is there an overload of Nick since SSM started?
You aren't the only one noticing. just like LML, MAB and JFP and Chuckie Pratt............SSM also have her favorites as well. Chuck preferred Victor, Jack and 35-45 crowd. They have a problem with declining numbers in W18-34, so SSM seems to feature younger characters more +Nick for some reason.
Btw, I don't think ratings depend on the age group featured onscreen. It's stories that matter IMO.

For goodness sake Kathryn Chancellor as played by the late Jeanne Cooper drove story all the way into her 80s. Even thought this show was gutted for the better part of ten years, they still have a sizeable enough fan base that things can definitely turn away with God writing.
As far as EB is concerned, he can sit his ass in the corner and just deal. I like this Victor and Victor was never a mustache twirler. Yeah he was a bastard, but he had reasons for it and he loved his family...especially his 'darling nikki '. I never again want to see this dude parachute out of a bucket plane in order to cross the Canadian border. Y'all remember that bullshit?! :soapbox:

I agree, I have never warmed up to the character of cane, it was stupid from the get-go. I would love for them to out the sister routine as a complete fraud, a simple letter about a "mistake" at the DNA lab will suffice.
Re: Cane. Last time they tried to fire DG it ended with a plot about Cane's twin :blulaugh: after Lane fans hired that plane to fly over CBS lol. Maybe they are triplets. :blulaugh: Well I have a feeling Sally doesn't give two flying f*cks about what lane fans want and that goes for the other couples too. I don't like this idea that a couple can't split,or that when they do all roads HAVE to lead to them getting back together. Sally was trained under Bill Bell and he had NO problem breaking couples up and letting them move on to other people. Yeah they might reunite eventually, but that eventually could sometimes be years lafter. Couples that viewers like spent years apart at times: nikki/Victor, dru/Neil, ashley/Victor, john/Jill , liv/Malcolm, danny/cricket etc.
Cane is the perfect example of what happens when a writers hands are forced. He should have stayed dead,at least the way it was he died a hero saving his wife and kids. It gave him a good ending and if left alone would have shown he truly loved Lily, but the back peddling they had to do made him a hypocrite and pathological liar. And who the hell keeps someone else's blood in their damn freezer? That's some serial killer shit right there.

I laughed at the Chess game especially with the classical music playing in the background.
