I really hate Dylan's exit. Truthfully, the first thing I'm disappointed in SSM for. I hate the way it fails to give any kind of impact to the story we just watched. I hate what it does to Sharon now. She's in relationship limbo. How is she supposed to move one with someone else when Dylan is just out there somewhere? At least they should've had Dylan admit he slept with Alex. That would've at least allowed Sharon to get upset and for their marriage to be over, essentially, and open her up to moving on with someone else.

was that who interrupted the show?
all I saw as an extremely Orange man with a very Orange hair.
oh well.
Get used to it, President Trump will interrupt Y&R just like the other ones did. Now, back to the topic of Young and the Restless.
Oh please. Actors and celebrities are aloud to be bashed on this forum. Didn't you read the rules? if you didn't like anyone bashing the orange man you could have kept scrolling.

Today's episode was fantastic. I had chills at the end.

Dylan and Sharon's goodbye was heartbreaking. Sharon brought up her father abandoning her which leads me to believe that's the next story direction for her. All the flashbacks they showed from Dylan and Sharon over the past couple years was the icing on the cake. You can say what you want about Steve Burton but this relationship was good for Sharon. She finally ended up with a man who loved her unconditionally. Nick was never that person for her. I'm gonna miss Dylan to be honest.

I'm okay with it because I can't picture Sally keeping Sharon stuck in this marriage for long. Maybe a little while but they would have had Sharon go through a long mourning period anyways even if Dylan died. I don't know how they're gonna cut that cord but even IF Sharon ends up staying true to her vows and decides to wait for Dylan, that doesn't bother me so much either because I wouldn't mind Sharon being single/without a man for an extended period of time while she hopefully ends up in this new storyline looking for her father.

I felt bad for Sharon.
because she really loved Dylan.
prior to Orange-Man's interruption, what I saw looked like she has started to grieve the change.

I'm glad I live in Canada so I don't have to deal with that orange troll interrupting my Y&R LOL!

You should definitely watch the ending online. It was really sad but it was worth it. I think Nikki and Sharon will bond over this.

As heavy as she had gotten, I don't think a LIPO would make THAT much difference.
She wasn't heavy and she has beautiful proportions even when she isn't "TV-slim".
She was looking pretty matronly, she is walking better too, maybe she had surgery?

Somehow I have a feeling that we haven't seen or heard the last about Alex and her tryst with Dylan...
Sharon may find out about it later on. Just a thought!

I agree. Dylan is the best man for Sharon. I didn't find them boring, I kinda liked them together.

Today's episode was another really strong one. I wonder if these old/new script writers pre-LML are the reason for that?

Cane is being a total douche bag. I don't even really know what to say about that because it seems like his reason for not wanting Lily to model is a little selfish. I loved Lily's reasoning for wanting to model though, the fact that she just feels like a housewife and not actually seen or appreciated for herself alone. Cane should respect that.
ITA about the dialogue. Know Sara Bibel is back and it shows. I think the dialogue has been great and the characters have a bit of personality now. Maybe it was lame, but I thoroughly enjoyed when Victoria said she was a good teen and Nikki laughed. She literally laughed in her face and I loved it. This is the kind of reaction I want to see from characters. When someone says something we know not to be true, in the case of an adult child having selective memory of their youth,I want someone to call them out on it,lol.

And I thoroughly enjoyed Lily today. I love that she is back to modeling and having a personality. I always thought she was a young Cricket when she was a teenager. Then they saddled her with assby and she became window dressing on Winters Island

When she talked about Dru,and how connected she felt to her mother I was sold. I always thought it would make sense that Lily may feel inferior to her mother. Dru was written to be this larger than life character and her and Lily always butted heads, but we know deep down lily admired her mother more than anyone else in the world
What episode are you all talking about? Today's (1/27) episode (breakdown/script) was written by Natali Minardi Slater and Janice Ferri Esser. Both have a long history with Y&R but both were writing for the previous regime, too. Yesterday's episode was written by Lisa Seidman/Susan Dansby. Btw, it likely means Lisa left Days.
I wasn't talking about today's episode specifically, but was speaking more in a general sense. I was just saying Sara bibel is back on the show and I wonder if her influence is why the scripts seem to have gotten better. Or maybe the new head writer has some influence on that.

All I know is I'm enjoying this show much more. Perfect? No ,but it never was. I'm just glad I can watch a whole episode and give a damn about the stories, lol. :)

I thought she looked great earlier too. I hate that there's a pressure for women to look slim. It's like the Western world doesn't have more serious issues than weight and cellulite.
she was actually pretty slim a few years back and suddenly ballooned. Must've been a health thing.
Yes I remember the Era that happened. If I remember correctly she started to get heavy around the mid 2000s and then around 2009/2010 she starred to lose weight again. I remember she gave an interview and said she did not start exercising, as she had always been thin, but started eating these special meals and lost the weight. Sounded like it was some kind of Nutrisystem type thing.

I think she also had some surgery a few years ago for her back. That might be why she seemed to have a hard time moving around a few years ago.

All in all I still find Melody to be a lovely looking woman at her age. The older women on this show really have aged well.

Sharon, a character I usually am annoyed with, really had me feeling some serious sad emotions today! I hope she has some peace and happiness going forward, preferably away from the Newman family.

Did he take up the rest of the show? Once he came on, I turned off the tv. I'd rather not get upset in the middle of the day. :x

Yesterday's episode was hilarious.

I loved Phyllis and Lauren messing with Gloria hahaha and then Jack and Gloria get loaded and start acting like fools? That was hilarious but EWW to them hooking up. Hopefully they don't show that scene.

Nikki supporting Sharon was so sweet. I know that this closeness between them as always existed until recent years. Nikki has always cared about Sharon from the beginning, she was just always overly critical and jealous at the same time.

It seems like Ashley is purposely playing into this crush Ravi has on her. I wonder if she has something up her sleeve? Cause I definitely don't see a legitimate romance there lol..

The scenes at Nicks club were cool. I like that it looks like an actual club and not just an empty dark room.

I agree, I think if she wanted to, she could have killed Dylan, I would not be surprised to see Dylan and her in the same bed again..
Dylan prefers a drug moll, over a babynapper, can't say as I blame him. LOL

As far as I know, President Trump is not a Y&R cast member.
No one was bashing an actor.

The "closeness" between Sharon and Nikki won't last long. Nikki has dispised Sharon more than liked her.
Sharon is going to start itching for a dick soon and Nikki will see or hear about it and explode all over her. Once the divorce is final then Nikki won't give 3 shits about who Sharon screws.
