I think this was the week Dena got the boot so it seems they always a pattern when head writers get fired constantly it always happens after Christmas and we see two or three drops in the ratings. It happened in Feb 2015 with Tomsell then Feb 2016 with JG and now this year in Jan with DH and probably happen with these new writers this time next year assuming Days is renewed again. |

Or it's because their contracts end around this time ;) . But of course ratings play a role too. TomSell weren't fired after their first two years. |

How long do Head writers contracts last? I assume its year by year because if they give them long contracts and fire them well before it expires Corday will have big pay outs to make to them. |

At least the show has been renewed again so these ratings won't matter to much until new material begins at least that one positive thing. I assume it has been renewed what is the point in changing writers if they are going to cancel it. |

Weren't both Days and Y&R partly pre-empted on Wednesday in some markets? Still sad numbers for both Sony soaps. Edited by thepadange, Jan 29 2017, 12:22 PM.
