Quoting limited to 3 levels deepCheetos in Chief
I'm really not sure what they are going for. One minute he's up in Phyllis' grill about her dating the next he's whining about Boretoria again. :frustration:
Did anyone here understand what Philly were talking about? :rolleyes: I didn't. The way they showed their relationship in 2016 wasn't about self-destruction or just because they liked it.
Does any of their writers watch the show/watched it in 2016?
my understanding - Red was telling Billy that he has self-destructive patterns.
when things dont go his way, he will gamble, drink and have inappropriate sex.
well who cares.........that's the good Billy.

I am not sure when it changed but it looks like Sara Bibel is listed as an associate headwriter (with Brent Boyd).

I liked the flashbacks but right now I am falling asleep on my elliptical machine watching the rest. :sleep: :sleep: :sleep:

SSM's writing:
+
Humor (could be more MY than SSM);
History mentions;
Flashbacks;
Some unusual interactions.

-
Repetitive dialogue/themes
Old uninteresting couples;
New weird/mis-matched not believable couple(s) (eg.Ashvi);
Overuse of characters not involved in important storylines (eg. 11 and counting non-stop episodes of Victoria);
Lack of drama.

I can't think of one couple on this show that I ship right now...except for Michael and Lauren, there are no couples to root for.

There are several characters that I ship with death but that's about it

Billy is being so wishy-washy, it's very unattractive. It's kinda ruining the character development he's had over the last year and a half.

I thought the same thing, those eyebrows and the fuzzy hair. She looks 1000% better now.
John didn't look so bad.

There is absolutely no current reason why he should be self destructing or behaving this way. It just looks like he's sex starved and having a meltdown which is dumb.

I found it as a hint that the love affair they had was because of that too. But it wasn't.

As someone has said it earlier. What is the reason for him to self-destruct? The man is young, healthy, has money, job, children. And the way they write him right now he doesn't even know which woman he wants lol.

There's nothing more unappealing than a man who doesn't know what he wants or feels. So shallow. It makes both couples look quite pathetic. I don't know what they intend with it. Couples not being together is a soap staple - when a couple isn't together and there's some angst going on, it keeps fans entertained but this is not it. It's flat out annoying.

The proportion is like 20 episodes of Villy versus 1episode of Philly plus a couple of scenes lol.
And they are wasting a really exceptional chemistry on this chemistry-free show.

She is so hell bent on shoving Boretoria and Billy together but when you are writing them in character as she is now, it just doesn't fit. They wouldn't last 2 weeks in a relationship. They had to turn Boretoria all flaky to sell this pairing in the first place. The only thing tying them together is the children. They should just be friends.

Ashley had more chemistry with Terrible Tom, Kevin's papa, when they "dated". Are we really supposed to believe she's romantically interested in this kid? :bs: :puke:
