I never thought i see the days would have a week of 1.6's not sure what these new writers can do about this its pretty obvious to me fans have tuned out but other soaps are in trouble as well may be people no longer love soaps anymore.

Just one question you think reason why no renewal announcement yet is because NBC is waiting to see how the ratings do i the next month or so?

If they new writers material won't air until July then surely ratings Days is getting now shouldn't matter should it.

Renewal is not only a "yes or no" type of decision. I'm pretty sure Sony and NBC are in negotiations re: the license fee. And it can depend on the ratings.

So lesser the license fee means NBC will give the show less money right as part of their budget?

It's hard to find good news with those numbers...

All soaps are way down from last year in total viewers (GH) or the demos (B&B) or both (Y&R, Days).

Things usually get worse in March and April but hopefully that will not be the case this year and the ratings will not go much lower than this.

Sans New England, not much of the country experienced anything close to a normal winter. Heard one meteorologist say that this was one of the warmest winters ever recorded and European weather models are predicting an extremely warm spring and summer here in the U.S.

Ratings will probably drop even lower when spring actually arrives in about four weeks.
