Kate Mansi definitely should be in the lead category. Not supporting. Regardless, I'm happy she got a nomination.

She wouldn't have had a chance of winning as lead. She does in supporting. Jmo.

CONGRATULATIONS TO TERRY JAMES FOR WINNING THE OUTSTANDING STUNT COORDINATION DAYTIME EMMY!

Posted Image

Long-time "Days" stunt coordinator Terry James has accomplished a very rare feat. Not only has he been nominated twice this year for his work on "Days of Our Lives" and "The Young and the Restless", but he is the only nominee in the category, thus securing a win this year. The only question now is, will he win for "Days" or YR?? James has previously won for "Days" in 2012 and 2013.

^ My face watching DAYS

When is the last time DAYS scored over 20 nominations?

22 sounds like a high number for them....they got a lot more technical nominations than they usually do.

Never. 17 was their previous record (2013).

I am curious about which episodes were submitted.

The single best performance, IMO, was Neil at the bedside of his dying mother on Y&R. I would be shocked if KSJ lost.

No Amelia Heinle for Supporting Actress. Shocker.

she only knows to show up to work with bad hair and nothing else.

Again, politics. I don't care about them. I hate how actors go into a category just because it's easier to win. Actors should be nominated where they fit. It's ridiculous how many times Peggy McCay has bee nominated as a leading actress in recent years. The same way I found it ridiculous that AZ was nominated as supporting actress for the Emmy's after the baby switch story.

I can't blame some for choosing Supporting. She choice Lead last year and didn't get in. Jess Walton submitted in Lead this year and she's not Lead AND she got nominated. When you have to face that sort of unfair competition, I don't blame some of these actors and actresses for their choices.

Yaaaaay to Kate!!! And I guess I'm going with amount of time on screen that I'm good with Kate in supporting. *shrug

They come up with so many definitions for what is what like Mary Beth getting and then winning lead when I thought entire year she was always supporting role. I want Kate to win and since her run was limited due to her exit supporting is justified for me. I wonder if Finola's vet status might hurt her.

I am rooting for Gina Tognoni. She was great all year!

I also hope Kate Mansi takes it home. She went all out in that story.

I don't really care too much about the rest. Very disappointed that Sharon Case who carried an entire storyline on her back for a year is not nominated.

Jason Thompson was robbed yet again. I am wondering if he submitted the wrong thing...

My picks would be:

Outstanding Lead Actor:
Peter Bergman, Y&R

Outstanding Lead Actress:
Nancy Lee Gahn, GH
OR
Gina Tognoni, Y&R

Outstanding Supporting Actor:
John Aniston, Days
OR
Jeffrey V. Parise, GH

Outstanding Supporting Actress:
Stacy Haiduk, Y&R - Not a favorite, but had some good stuff
Finola Hughes, GH - My favorite, but not sure she has better material than the others
Kelly Sullivan, Y&R - Alot don't like her, but I think she's a great actress

Outstanding Younger Actor:
Tequan Richmond, GH

Outstanding Younger Actress:
Lexi Ainsworth, GH - Not that great really, but I'm not familiar with the others

Although Nancy Lee Grahn clearly deserves Outstanding Lead Actress, I'm positive Heather Tom, the new Erika Slezak, will be given the trophy.

In fact, I sense a CBS sweep coming up .... Peter Bergman, Bryton James, etc.
