I think this head writers big mistake was over promoting the new Days with all his tweets to the fans telling us how good his Days will be he should of just kept quiet like Tomsell did Days last decent writers well to me anyway. He got off to a bad start i know its early and you have him give him time but he has put more pressure on himself that is only my opinion even he said he under pressure to get Days renewed again.

This prove talk shows are bringing in your viewers than soaps now they beating Days quite easy they even beating GH now may be soaps are a dying breed no longer had the appeal they once had.

Not saying Days numbers are good but none of these talk shows are on NBC and they didn't beat the respective soaps on their networks.

They are talking about the success of the View. I think this show (just like lots of news programs) are benefitting from Trump's presidency.

I think the low demo numbers those talk shows get are good news for the soaps. Y&R and B&B are doing much better than The Talk. GH is beating The View in the demos.

I'm really surprised at the ratings for Days. I could barely watch the past few months, almost deleted it from my dvr schedule. Never watched an episode of OLTL or GH, so not familar with Ron C..but I could see the improvement in Days right away. I'm actually looking forward to watching every day - to find out what happens next. Hasn't been like that for a couple years. My only complaint is they do seem to have the same conversation over and over, but at least we are hearing conversations that would previously have happened off-screen.

Come on Ron, We are counting on YOU !!

These are still Dena's stories he's wrapping up. Let's face it we won't see his true ratings numbers till sometime this fall

Days' numbers are horrible but it's no reflection on Ron. The average viewer has no idea when there is a headwriter change. So I hope he isn't taking these low number personally. He's wrapping up unpopular stories and setting the table for his real work to start airing in September.

I have heard that they're not concerning themselves with the ratings until November.

Makes sense.

They usually like to start paying attention come September but sometimes they still need to do buildup. They usually like to peak from November-February because there are 2 sweeps periods and they feel that is when the audience potential is highest (colleges/schools on break, weather keeping people inside, etc).

And once again, the numbers are blown way out to proportion and fitted to suit for instance people on SON's personal agendas. These are not even bad, look at the other shows. This weeks numbers actually went up from last week, meaning that people liked the stories on air. All the other shows (besides GH) went down from both last week and last year.
