I think some of them will be there. They usually have 8 tables of 4 (sometimes 3) for signing. Maybe they haven't all confirmed in time for the press release.

Usually, the people who are done taping don't go even if they are still airing.

The people who are taping but haven't aired yet are usually the special guests, they come out at the end for the Q&A.

So there's a chance Tyler C. will be there. :cheer: I'm interested to see his interaction w/the cast outside of those he's worked with in the past.

Brady and Eve is my guess.
I bet Eve will be interested in Eric.

Nicole is leaving and I bet Ron would love to go back to the Jennifer vs Eve rivalry using Eric.

I'd adore an Eve/Xander pairing. I think they'd be delicious together! I also liked Eve's previous scenes with Eric, so I wouldn't be opposed to them having a romance. It'd be an intriguing "opposites attract" sort of situation.

In terms of non-romance storylines, I'd love to see Eve become friends with Jennifer. Eve lost a child, and Jen suffered a similar loss when she thought that Abby had died. So, I could see Eve and Jen forming an unlikely bond of friendship. (I mean, it'd be an EXTREMELY unlikely friendship due to Eve's previous affair with JJ, but I'd still like to see Jen and Eve move beyond the past to form a friendship.)

KD said this return was different, i also think that Ron said she would be mixing it up with the K family. So that puts Xander, Brady, & Justin on the list....

I wish Missy would go to Day of Days one of these years. Not that I go but I would like to see some interviews with her.

The wording from Ron on Eve was that "she is really going to shake things up with the Kiriakis family, and it will lead her to a love story with a particular character who is already on the canvas." It could possibly be a non-Kiriakis that she gets involved with who is also involved in that storyline, maybe someone she asks for help. I'm wondering if Brady will continue to be off his rocker, and maybe she comes back out of concern for Tate.

Longtime ‘Days of Our Lives’ actor now calls Vacaville home

By MELISSA MURPHY | Vacaville Reporter

PUBLISHED: September 5, 2017 at 7:02 am | UPDATED: September 5, 2017 at 4:01 pm

More than 50 years ago “Days of Our Lives” aired its first episode.

Its well known opening phrase — “Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of Our Lives” — has remained unchanged for decades. Real fans know the story lines, characters and actors.

Frank Parker, an actor on the show for some 27 years, spoke with an Irish accent as he brought life to the role of Grandpa Shawn Brady from the early 1980s to 2008.

It might seem that a chance of running into one of those stars is one in a million, but fans don’t need to look farther than Vacaville.

Parker, who is 78 years old, spends every day with his wife, Vacaville resident Mary Garofalo Dunning.

She reminisced about life on the red carpet while he looked at her lovingly with soft blue eyes.

Parker retired in 2008 for health reasons.

While the two looked at photos including acting head shots from decades ago, Dunning looked at her husband and said, “You were young and cute then, now we’ll just go for handsome.”

Her joke elicited a smirk from the quiet, but engaged Parker.

The two met on a blind date in 2003. Dunning, who lost her husband the year before, was ready to get out of the house and meet people. She admitted she never watched soap operas, but tagged along anyway with a fellow nurse practitioner from Vacaville to a soap opera-centered event in Southern California that year. On the way there, she studied a TV Guide.

“When we met, I just had this feeling,” she said of her first encounter with Parker. “We went to dinner and danced afterward, but we kept dancing long after the music stopped.”

Things took off from there and they were married in 2005 and Parker moved to Vacaville, traveling to Los Angeles for show recordings. Parker always loved acting and singing, Dunning shared. He majored in acting at Carnegie Mellon University in Pennsylvania.

“He did really well for a long time,” Dunning said and further explained that soon after they were married, she was having to help him memorize his lines.

Even after retiring, however, Parker’s popularity remains.

For years when the couple would go out, people would recognize him because “Days of Our Lives” episodes are shown around the world. Dunning explained that a student going to school at the University of California, Davis came up and told them that the show helped her learn English.

“He was a real social person with them,” Dunning added. “They would shake his hand and he wouldn’t let them go.”

The two can be found around Vacaville on regular outings. Friday’s triple digit temperatures didn’t sway them from spending time together out on the town, possibly a stop at Fenton’s Creamery in the Nut Tree Plaza.

The couple also has regularly traveled to Southern California for show reunions.

“There was this big rope acting as a barrier between us and the fans,” Dunning recalled the 50th anniversary. “When Frank appeared everyone was yelling. They were shouting, ‘It’s Frank,’ and ‘God Bless You.’”

“It was amazing walking on the red carpet,” she said and added that at the end of the 50th anniversary ceremony they brought the entire cast, past and present, on stage.

“He would tell you, ‘I feel like it was a family.’”

“It’s been quite an adventure,” Dunning added.
Even though he seemed to be there for the interview, Frank Parker didn't seem to speak much if at all. His wife mentions having to help him with his lines and that he retired for health reasons. Does he also have Alzheimer's or a type of dementia?

The Chad/Will scenes are going to be kind of weird to watch just because Chad looks so much older than Will now.

They will look a little odd. They've aged Chad though, at least according to the ages on Thomas's birth certificate (though it's not like much is being pulled from the 2015/2016 time period much to my dismay in regards to Chabby). Chad was older than Abby on it and she was originally older than Chad. Abby is older than Will.

I think he is. But I also think Billy is better than Christopher. Chandler and Christopher are about the same level to me.

Maybe I'll finally see the WilSon chemistry others saw before, lol

I agree with both of you about Chandler, but I still think Billy Flynn is terrible as Chad. They are no where near to being comparable in the acting skills
