I know Ava was evil and she used Joey but I don't agree with Kayla that it's Ava's fault Joey's in prison.
It all kind of depends on how you define fault. Joey killed Ava and that's why he's in prison. But does that happen if Ava doesn't come back to Salem, doesn't manipulate Joey, doesn't assault and kidnap Kayla, doesn't rape Steve, doesn't try to frame Kayla for attempted murder, and doesn't make it clear she's never going to stop?

Things aren't always black and white, guilty or completely innocent. I can understand why this all goes back to Ava for Kayla, even if it's also true that Joey committed a crime and is now serving time for it.
Yea, I know things aren't black and white, which is why I said I knew Ava was evil, but Kayla always puts all blame on Ava. She never wonders how her son could do what he did. I think it's a big deal that a young guy could kill someone, I don't care who it is.

I'm looking forward to Theo/KP being gone. Tripp/LA and Claire/ORK are the best of that generation. Theo all innocent standing there naked except for a towel.... what a tool.

That's exactly what he is!

I think we are going to get Ciara/Tripp/Claire triangle in 2018 and Tripp/Ciara are going to be the root for couple in this(per the writers), because I can see Claire getting a little clingy with Tripp once Ciara comes back to town . She is already insecure where Ciara is concern. Tripp/Ciara will fall for each other but will try to deny it, because they don't want to hurt Claire and I can see Claire getting manipulative because she knows they are in love but doesn't want to let Tripp go. In other words one big mess.

So just repeating the story we already had with Tripp in the Theo role? What a waste. It sucked the first time around.

but I think it's going to work better because of the actors involved. the story is soap 101 just have to have the right actors to make it work.

Thank you JCP.

I still think the dvds were fake. Ron could write around that if he ever wanted to write something worth watching for Kayla and Steve.

The one thing that I will think Ron and possibly Sheri is going back to saying the reason Steve left his family was because of threats not the stupid childhood memories that D.H. wrote.

I know Tripp is trying to get Kayla's forgiveness, but he is barely there in those scenes. I hope they plan to rev him up for the let's make Theo jealous stuff coming up. I also wonder if the Theo leaving is story dictated and they plan to bring him back in a few months.

That scene ended strange for S/K. I had the feeling that Stephen and Mary Beth wanted to hug. lol.

I meant to say "thank" not think.

Did Claire basically admit wanting more from Theo then friendship when she called her grandmother, she basically accepted friendship but was going to be disappointed if it didn't turn into something more?

I wasn't interested in Claire being reduced to a manipulator to garner sympathy for Ciara the first time. I expect I'll enjoy it even less if they have a competent actress as Ciara but still leave Ciara as the designated heroine-victim instead of the girl who blackmailed Sami for earrings and wanted to sue to become the first female umpire in Little League. I don't think being the villainess plays to ORK's talents and I don't think being the self-sacrificing victim plays to the core of Ciara regardless of actress.

well time will tell Ciara could end up being the interloper who know, but I do see a Ciara/Tripp/Claire triangle coming.

That's exactly what he is!
At the start of the teens, it seemed that Theo was the one most
liked by viewers. When Tripp showed up, he was mostly liked.
I never cared much for Claire, and now I don't find any of the three
interesting. I'm looking forward to Ciara, although I liked VJ, too.
I hope all four of them will get better s/ls.

It's so stupid when the bad guy, in this case Raines, wastes his breath explaining everything to stupid little Gabi
She wasn't so spunky by the end of the episode. I thought he
might hit her instead of just pushing her.

Not a great episode. I agree with many others that I am heartily sick of Gabi the perpetual victim.

Not feeling Kayla's extreme hate for Tripp. In what world is Joey 100% innocent of any guilt from killing Ava? He is not. Yes she was a monster but when he killed her she was lying in a hospital bed asleep. He murdered someone. That is not all Ava's fault. It's like saying that it's okay to kill people because they are "bad". That''s not how our society works. You kill someone, you will most likely have to pay for it. There were mitigating circumstances in this case, but, Joey made the decision to kill. I understand a Mama Bear attitude but I'm sensing Kayla blaming Steve, Tripp and Ava for all of this, while completely absolving her boy Joey.

I'm bored with Raines. It's time for him to go.

What I don't like is the Dimeras got away with most of what they did to people. So did Ava, but when anyone fights back they are the bad guys. Yeah, they shouldn't have had Joey be the killer, but someone needed to get rid of her. JMO. It should have been Steve that killed her, he brought her into their lives.

I don't think it's about making the good guys the bad guys. But it can bring a 'good guy' down to the bad guy level. That's what's supposed to separate them. Now joey showed a ton of remorse, Hope didn't. But it doesn't change the fact they took lives.

So, Raines holds Gabi hostage, eh?

Well, it's a good thing her dad is already in prison, cause if Eduardo was out and knew about this, then he would probably kidnap someone he assumes Raines cares about in order to trade them for Gabi, and have them beaten up, show no remorse, and call it a game. ;)

Right. And I don't think Joey was bad so much as in the wrong.
