Good grief chabby are so boring even Thomas was in tears. They should have built the couple up before this upcoming wedding. One of my favorite couples once upon a time now as much fun as watching grass grow

Today is the first time in forever that I felt both CS and FS were completely engaged in their scenes with each other.

That press conference was just too silly for words. LOL

You know, there's this quote on a TV show on Netflix. It goes something like "If you weren't crazy, you wouldn't be trying so hard to convince everyone you weren't." This fits Andre to a T.

The black wifebeaters need to go. It is so blatant when the LGBT characters are the only ones who wear a shirt when they sleep ^o)
I wonder how much of that is writer choice versus actor choice. I know CS is fine being shirtless but FS may not have been ready yet so they show the wifebeaters for a week or two before they get a shirtless scene? Maybe I'm reaching.
I think they were both shirtless for the engagement
True, but Freddie was "strategically" filmed during those scenes.

JJ (adorable in a pink blazer) and Lani come to escort Raines to jail. He says oh not you two lol.
More like ridiculous for a cop to be wearing to work, but JJ is cute in just about anything...and also nothing at all.

Paul and Sonny were adorable! Freddie looked really good with his haircut but I'm not sure why he shaved his chest and his forearms (!) for that. I was expecting a sex scene. I hope it's coming in the next few episodes. The championship ring was cute, it reminded me when Paul gave him that baseball. I don't know if Ron or Sheri is responsible for all the romantic scenes but I'm really grateful.

I love that the show is "sexing up" the men now. Besides Paul and Sonny, JJ looked incredibly hot in this episode!

The press conference was a little dumb but I loved that Hattie blindsided Andre at the end. The next episode should be fun.

Bye Raines, I'm disappointed that they trashed the character for no reason. I liked watching him annoy Hope and Rafe.

I like Paul, but having him notice that Marlena is not acting like her self, over Eric and Brady is silly. He has only known her for a couple years.

That's basically how I feel now, my interest in Chabby as a couple is just gone, just not feeling the right dynamic between the actors.

Eric and Brady have noticed too. Everyone who has talked to her has noticed.

It was so nice to see Chabby today! Loved the scenes with Jenn and JJ too. JJ seems to be fickled where Chabby is concerned; I never know if he is for them or against them as a couple.

Chad is going to need a new bed. That one is tainted.

Chad is hardly the perfect husband.
Abby's hardly the perfect wife chads been a good husband till she ran on him twice
Abby is acting like Chad hasn't been yanking her and Gabi back and forth for the last year. She acts like the ground he walks in is golden, which is why I can't get behind this reunion. The two have issues that need to be dealt with.
That really bothers me, the old Abby would have never forgiven Chad so easily. And even if Abby wants to forgive Chad, I don't understand why other characters like Jennifer or JJ are not giving him a hard time. It's not that I think the blame is all on Chad (he couldn't control his feelings for Gabi and he only slept with her after Abby delivered him with divorce papers) but there should be some conflict there. What are you doing, Ron?

Agreed. Meanwhile, I find her relationships in general to be complete messes. From Chad to Andre to Gabi...they don't just ring false for Abby, they ring false for a human being. I know there were some who had issues with KM's Abby not seeming warm (I don't disagree with that, but didn't find it problematic), but this is ridiculous. I didn't think KM's Abby had a very established personality, but now that MM is in the role and the writing for the character is so vastly different, I can pinpoint some things. Before, Abby was a very deliberate, thoughtful character. I don't mean "thoughtful" as in "does nice things for people." I mean that she put a lot of thought into everything she did. Sometimes way too much. She was also very judgmental and constantly having to step back re-evaluate that. The character we're seeing now is like a kindly old woman, afraid of conflict who just wants to hug everyone and snuggle by a fire she didn't even set.

I've had a problem for years with the writing of Abby, though. As a child, I thought her loyalty to Jack was kind of her main trait. That continued with Ashley Benson...but then it disappeared completely with Kate Mansi, and hasn't made a reappearance for Marci Miller. That's not on the actors, but that is how it has shaken out. It was such a big part of her before, that it's never felt right that it disappeared, no matter the reason for it.

And to be clear, none of what I said is a criticism of Marci. (This is about to be). I think she's terrible, but those issues above are issues I have with the writing, not the portrayal. Those changes in writing just happened to occur between the two actors.

I think the character changes could work if the writing addressed it. Abby went though a HORRIFIC life experience with the Ben stuff. Then her breakdown. Then whatever happened from when she escaped the hospital, stayed with Laura and came home. She was fierce. She had lots of fire (LOL fire) I could totally get her coming back different and maybe just wanting a peaceful life. But they needed to make that so clear that was why she changed. Maybe even have Jen, JJ and Chad address it.

I don't think MM is that terrible, BUT
I am not liking Abby at all these days, so the actress needs to take some blame for that.
The biggest issue for this show remains, there is no explained or believable character motivation. We just more from storyline to storyline without consideration as to if that character should even be doing what they are doing.
Chad & Abby are a wreck, especially Abby. As stated many times, why is she even giving Andre the time of day & why does she even allow Chad to let Kate hang around.
Andre shouldn't even be on the show, so he needs to be Tony & Kate should not be part of the storyline at all. It feels like tPTB want LK & TP to share storyline & so do the actors, so reason & sense have been disguarded.

Oh that reminds me. I loathe chabby living with Kate and andre. How will that continue after this public spectacle too? And I'm sure those two play Chad's parents at the wedding. RIDICULOUS.

:blulaugh: Even as a marginal fan of MM (I don't think she's terrible) I can't disagree with this comparison between the writing.

This recast reminds me of GL's Michelle Bauer-Santos last recast. Matronly Nancy St. Alban replaced firecracker Bethany Joy Lenz. As for the Michelle/Danny pairing it was never the same.

I am entertained by Hattie. Her bumbling, mumbling and her moments of a good take on Marlena make me laugh. Poor Tandre.

I'm sorry but whoever dresses MM should be fired. Was that getup today supposed to make her look invisible? Abby's Mom dresses way better. The colors did nothing for MM and it was just an awful outfit. She's not ugly. Why try to make her look ugly? CB wears fabulous clothing with vibrant colors. Surely someone can choose colors and styles that enhance MM's looks.
Abby is very frumpy.Just about every character on the show dresses better than she does. The show needs to change whoever is choosing her wardrobe.
The show needs to have MM spend more time with baby Thomas before shooting their scenes or just not show him they way they do with Tate.He looked as if he was about to burst into tears the entire time he was with her and BF although the baby does seem better when he is being held by BF.The baby might just have been having a bad day but I don't really recall any good baby scenes between MM and Thomas the way AZ has with practically every baby/toddler she encounters.
