Okay, this week sounds really good. I'm happy the Eric/Nicole/Brady story seems to be coming to a head because I find it pretty repetitive and dull. I'm sure I'd like it more if I was still invested in Ericole but I digress... Everything Lucas sounds incredible. I like that Kate, Jennifer, and Maggie are all front and center during/after his downward spiral at St. Luke's. That sounds ridiculously soapy.
I even like the spoiler about Chloe asking Brady for a loan... especially because it looks like Club TBD is up for auction and Chloe & Julie will be competing to buy it. Not only does this answer the logical question of what becomes of the club now that Dario is MIA, but it also gives Chloe some purpose for being in Salem. Way to go, Ron!

If Julie bought Club TBD, would Doug sing there?
(This probably won't happen but I can dream)

Kate/Maggie #Days
Maggie comforting Kate over Lucas drinking. At what point have either of them show any concern for one another in the past, let along interacted!?!?!?
I've grown to really love Bryan/Lucas over the years, in past I didn't because of his immaturity and scheming with Sami.
That doesn't even begin to make me interested in seeing Will alive however.
and Sami she a worthless character to me and has been since possession.
It doesn't matter to me if Guy or Chandler is Will.
FF is going to become my friend or just reading the show for the next several months.
Of all the things I hate about DAYS currently NOT have Christie Clark around (Don't honesty care if she is involved with the Will stuff, I actually prefer that she isn't) I'd hope she would have returned to the show long before this time

I REALLY like that that drunk driver from March is back. People commented on him at the time, and this would have been filmed afterwards. It almost seems like maybe they listened to some feedback.
A Ron special. A head writer who watches the show and cares about the fan feedback. A new concept.

-Abigail shares her empathy with Gabi over the tough spot she is in regarding the double wedding.
I absolutely loathe this. It doesn't make Abby look good which I'm assuming is the point? That may not be the point, but that's the only one I can come up with. It's okay for them not to be BFFs. Their friendship wasn't that great to begin with. They don't have to hate each other, but it's okay if things are tense and awkward. It does make Abby look good it continues the Abby is so forgiving and perfect train

Sidenote - the way the show is trying to pimp & prop Gabi & Rafe is nauseating. Neither CB nor GG can act for shit & their characters are utterly pointless. Also JMO.

It does make Abby look good it continues the Abby is so forgiving and perfect train It doesn't make her look good to me. It makes her look weird and pathetic and less and less like Abby. And idk how it'll play out but to me it also makes her sound petty. She already "won." Back off.

The issue for me is I don't understand why Gabi and Abby have to get along. What's wrong with two women who recently shared a dude not liking each other? I'm all for female friendships but they need to make sense

First I just have to say how excited I am that St. Luke's is back. That set is like an old friend that went away and is coming home. So much drama has happened in that one set.
Secondly this week does sound like all the pieces are set for great story. The Lucas story has lots of branches and it seems Ron is trying to hit them all. Will!!! Real Will is coming soon. I always loved CM as Will and this will be a real treat. Hope FS gets some life back in his portrayal of Sonny with CM there. CS will give us some great scenes with Paul's torment, doubt and fear about losing Sonny.
I wish I could care one little bit about Nicole but that bridge has burned with such horrible writing for so long. If for one second the audience had a hint that she was conflicted about Eric during the "hate" period, I might still care. But she went from Daniel to Deimos to Brady in quick order. She hated Eric so much then poof forgiveness opened her up to him. Stories should build slowly with small turns along the way. Quick turnabouts make the story cheap and shallow. IMO That device should only be used to end loser stories, eg-Rope.
It would be so fantastic if Julie buys TBD and turns it into a dinner club where our characters can be romanced and maybe even dance. I miss Salem's restaurants. The Pub is not enough.
Lastly I want so to like Abby and MM is a charming girl but she needs more pizzazz as Abby and the character should drop the understanding of her best friend sleeping with her husband. I don't care that she thought Abby was dead. Women who hit on friends's men are dirt period. Move on Abby. Find another friend.

I don't care that she thought Abby was dead. Women who hit on friends's men are dirt period. Move on Abby. Find another friend. I don't have an issue with this with them at all, but I do think the fact that she was dead matters. Once Abby was alive, Gabi did back off. Abby pushed her to pursue Chad. But at this point, it just seems silly for them to be friends. They don't have to be catty, but I can't imagine a situation where someone in Gabi's position would be even the slightest bit open to empathy from Abby. To me it seems like Chad and Abby both have just been making it worse for Gabi. It's really jerky of them to have a double wedding with someone with such a direct connection to Gabi. I don't think they should have to tiptoe around her feelings, but none of what happened with Chabi came from a place of malice on Gabi's part (though I'd argue some of it did on Chad's part). I don't like any of the three, and I think all three are coming out of this looking like absolute trash. While Abby is who I loathe the most, in this story I really wish Chad would get some metaphorical slaps in the face. Abby got hit by a car. Gabi lost everything. Chad comes out of this on top no matter the outcome, and he was the one who was a douchebag from day one. Ideally, Gabi and Abby would have realized that and teamed up to destroy him...with Abby later realizing she still loved him and working to stop whatever they did.

It's just a jerky thing to do.

It's funny that a lot of people are mad at Gabi for trying to break up Chabby when she didn't try at all. She wanted Chad but she did nothing to steal him away from Abby once she found out she was alive. And that was super boring to watch. I liked the Sami/EJ/Abby triangle so much better.

If she had done something, the story might have actually been worth watching. Though I don't think Sami/EJ/Abby was worth watching, so probably not. But it might have had a chance.

Ok the Kate and Jennifer spoiler just infuriates me....terrible....Jennifer would never comfort Kate under any circumstance...that is a strike against these writers for sure, I expect better than this.
You really don't think Jennifer would comfort Kate about Lucas? Sure, I'd like there to be hesitation or some sort of tension in the scenes, but Jennifer is a good person. She would totally drop her guard when it comes to Lucas and be there for Kate. At least in that moment. No matter what's happened in the past. I completely disagree...yes Jennifer is a good person...but even good people have their limits and Kate should be one of them. This women has left a path of total destruction in her life.
That being said, maybe my opinion will change when I see the scenes...but I don't ever want Kate and Jennifer to be on good terms with each other....and her being Lucas' mother doesn't change anything for me.
