That was a terrible climax to the story. All in one episode, Roman and Paul figure out where John and Marlena are, randomly show up in the middle of a scene that wasn't even that climactic, rescue them while sedated and that's the end of the story? Awful. Where was the buildup? Where were the long, tense scenes before Roman and Paul came busting in? It was blink and you miss it. No drama, no real tension. It was very much "let's get this over with so we can move on to the next story." Did we even get to see J&M wake up and reunite? By the time we got back to the scene they were already awake and talking to Roman. Disappointing.
That was obviously Ben's hand at the end.
How do you know that was obviously Ben's hand we haven't heard he's back
If they reshot Will's death, they kind of needed him. Rob's back for that, so the question now is, will he be back for more than just new flashbacks?

Will.
Ben doesn't need to be seen for the will story I think you might be out of luck.

Yes, but she grew up in a family who teaches forgiveness. Alice and Tom taught forgiveness the rest forget that sometimes

I guess Ben came to mind for me because the last time we saw him,he clearly needed psychiatric treatment so being in Bayview fits for me.It appeared to me that their was some sort of restraint on the wrist of the hand grabbing the keys which seemed consistent with Ben needing years of therapy.I just see Clyde using his money to get Ben the best attorney money can buy and that attorney getting Ben committed to Bayview instead of Statesville.

Alice and Tom taught forgiveness the rest forget that sometimes Forgiveness is different from living with someone and trusting them always and supporting their every move and being bffs. Though I'm curious what forgiveness lessons Tom and Alice taught that apply to any of these situations.

I call utter bullsh*t on all the obvious sympathy being played for Hattie. I swear if Hope tries to help her get off I am completely done with Hope and I will hate her, no more chances. It was bad enough I had to tolerate her for years as Princess Gag Me, and then her dumping Bo, and then killing Stefano... now if she helps Hattie after what she did to John and Marlena, I am done.
Hattie is ill and Stefano deserved to die and princess Gina was Stefano's fault not hers and bo was not always perfect I don't think Hattie is "ill" - she seemed pretty damned coherent & lucid when she was talking to Eric, Andre, Brady, etc. That required lightning fast thinking, no "ill" person can think that fast. I think she's more obsessed & perhaps a few sandwiches short of a picnic, than "ill".
Stefano deserved to die? Nope. He was an evil SOB, but in no universe did he deserve to die. Flaws (a mild term, I know) aside, he loved his kids & grandkids. I would rather Hope had walked away as Stefano laughed at her, than for her to have been the one to pull the trigger. To the contrary - he should have died of natural causes, no one to blame...and his family can mourn & his enemies can breathe a sigh of relief as they realize he's no longer alive to torment them. Then cut to a shot of the back of a huge leather chair, a glass of Limoncello off to one side, opera playing in the background & a waft of cigar smoke puffing up...then cut to black & leave it at that.
Princess Gina made a lot of choices too - gaslighting Marlena to take John from her springs to mind. There are other reasons, but that s/l was such a fustercluck I don't feel like trying to come up with more. Stefano may have created "Gina" but "Gina" made choice after choice to perpetuate the persona he wanted her to have.
Bo not always perfect? Who in Salem is??

This whole Abby/Andre deal makes sense in relation to Ben. Abby, in some ways, blames herself for Ben going crazy. She saw Ben as someone reasonably sane go crazy, so she would hope Ben could recover. Andre is/was known as a lunatic and he reached out to her and she's there to keep him sane because she feels she wasn't there enough for Ben to keep him sane. Abby will want to help Ben which could help her in the process...or kill her!
Andre is family ben is not
Andre has done more to her family than Ben has. He kidnapped her father and grandmother once Stefano did the rest to her family like he did others

I could easily see this version of Abby being understanding about what Ben did. His death toll is way lower than Andre's, too. She would never support the man who tried to frame then kill her husband kidnap her son kill her cousin and make her crazy

Half and half episode for me.
I really liked the Hope/Hattie scenes today. Hattie was a person with genuine emotions and feelings more so than a cartoonish plot device. Despite all the terrible things she did to John and Marlena, I actually felt something for her -- more than I have at any other point in this story. She truly came across as someone who's gotten caught up in some bad manipulations, but more than anything, wanted someone to love her. And hey, Hope was -- once again -- so much more watchable without Rafe.
The DiMera quad just sucks on every level. I don't know what else to say about it.
The rescue was kind of underwhelming, but this story never felt like a full arc anyway, so I wasn't expecting it to be "epic" or anything.
So, Victor notices that "Adrienne" is off, too. Why can't Justin get more of a clue?
