That was a terrible climax to the story. All in one episode, Roman and Paul figure out where John and Marlena are, randomly show up in the middle of a scene that wasn't even that climactic, rescue them while sedated and that's the end of the story? Awful. Where was the buildup? Where were the long, tense scenes before Roman and Paul came busting in? It was blink and you miss it. No drama, no real tension. It was very much "let's get this over with so we can move on to the next story." Did we even get to see J&M wake up and reunite? By the time we got back to the scene they were already awake and talking to Roman. Disappointing.

That was obviously Ben's hand at the end.
Love this post. What a complete anticlimax for John and Marlena.
Pretty sure they'll have a better one (or more) once they get home..... :sex4:
Yes but what are the chances of that actually making it on screen.

Hattie is ill and Stefano deserved to die and princess Gina was Stefano's fault not hers and bo was not always perfect

The only thing I regret about her shooting Stefano was her letting
Rafe talk her into the cover up. I loved KA as Princess Gina, it
wasn't Hope's fault, her life had been destroyed by Stefano and when
she returned, her life was upended again, in a s/l that I didn't like
at all, when she and Bo were apart. By the time PG came around,
I was so sick of a certain third party, that the PG story was welcomed.
I agree, under certain writers, Bo was far from perfect.

That was pointless.

Hope and Sheila were about the only ones I liked.

What was the point of J/M and Andre being in the sanitarium?

Why was I watching Hattie cry over Roman?

The story just seem so pointless with no lasting drama

Abby was barely able to walk in the hospital, but now that she has been home for an hour, she is ready to go visit Andre all by herself!

To give J&M something to do during the transition. They haven't been keeping that a secret.

I mentioned earlier that it also gave them a chance to show J&M's love story after he'd been off canvas so long. Especially heading into will and Sami's returns.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Because I've had enough of interlopers in chabby 's life for a while .we had Gabby this time .we don't need ben right now obviously
How is Ben an interloper?
Ben an interloper? That crazy, Ben is an integral part of this story and has been since day one, People who brush him off as a mere incontinence, even in future events are IMHO going to be sadly mistaken. I think his scenes won't just be focused on redone flashbacks of Will death. But things of far more significance to the Horton's and Brady's as well.

I shouldn't be feeling sorry for Hattie, but I did. Wow. Kudos to DHer and KA for their performances.

I ended up getting to watch the rest of the show. I liked the Sheila stuff, too. Bonnie is losing favor with me, but I'm hoping Sheila side eyeing everything in the mansion will be fun.

The Hattie/Marlena scenes are some of my favorite this year. I still don't like how the sanitarium stuff ended, but those scenes help. A little.

I'm just curious where other people fall on this. So it didn't bother me today that Hope arrested Hattie. It didn't have that hypocritical feel. For me that's partially because she'd already repaid her debt to Hattie and partially because she did it kindly and with empathy. However, when Rafe did the same thing to Eduardo, it was totally high horse/hypocritical ridiculous. It's interesting to me how two such similar things can come across differently...for me at least.

It didn't bother me either. I was okay with it mainly due to the part of your post that I bolded.

I didn't watch the scenes today, so I can't comment specifically, but I think you answered your question in your post. The Rafe/Eduardo scenes felt high horse and hypocritical because Rafe was being a smug ass and all judgmental about things. Hope/Hattie was better because Hope actually put away her FancyJudgmentalFace and showed some understanding, even if she couldn't ignore it. It's why the Raines stuff felt bad too, because FancyJudgmentalFace was in full effect.

It's a man and he takes the orderlies keys.

Let the guessing begin.
Oh please...

Its Will

Stevie Wonder could see what's coming.....lol

Is it wrong that I would prefer it to be Ben.
Actually, I would prefer it be Ben too (Will would be too obvious).

Now hat we know the reshot the murder scene I assume Ben has to come back at least for that but (I might have missed it but)I hadn't seen confirmation he returned so I hadn't thought of Ben today...

Hmmm

Big hairy man hand? Must be Sami (Teasing)

I call utter bullsh*t on all the obvious sympathy being played for Hattie. I swear if Hope tries to help her get off I am completely done with Hope and I will hate her, no more chances. It was bad enough I had to tolerate her for years as Princess Gag Me, and then her dumping Bo, and then killing Stefano... now if she helps Hattie after what she did to John and Marlena, I am done.
Hattie is ill and Stefano deserved to die and princess Gina was Stefano's fault not hers and bo was not always perfect
I seriously disagree.

I don't think Hattie is "ill" - she seemed pretty damned coherent & lucid when she was talking to Eric, Andre, Brady, etc. That required lightning fast thinking, no "ill" person can think that fast. I think she's more obsessed & perhaps a few sandwiches short of a picnic, than "ill".

Stefano deserved to die? Nope. He was an evil SOB, but in no universe did he deserve to die. Flaws (a mild term, I know) aside, he loved his kids & grandkids. I would rather Hope had walked away as Stefano laughed at her, than for her to have been the one to pull the trigger. To the contrary - he should have died of natural causes, no one to blame...and his family can mourn & his enemies can breathe a sigh of relief as they realize he's no longer alive to torment them. Then cut to a shot of the back of a huge leather chair, a glass of Limoncello off to one side, opera playing in the background & a waft of cigar smoke puffing up...then cut to black & leave it at that.

Princess Gina made a lot of choices too - gaslighting Marlena to take John from her springs to mind. There are other reasons, but that s/l was such a fustercluck I don't feel like trying to come up with more. Stefano may have created "Gina" but "Gina" made choice after choice to perpetuate the persona he wanted her to have.

Bo not always perfect? Who in Salem is??
Just wanted to add that HOPE herself, of her own free will, left her son and went off to find out her past. She even coaxed John to go with her...to take him away from his new wife and small children. I have a lot of reasons to hate Hope at that time, but this isn't really the time. I'll just repeat that if she tries to help Hattie I'm done with her. What Hattie did to J&M is inexcusable!
