Except that Andre wasn't RAISED by Stefano.
Andre grew up poor with his parents in London. When they died, Stefano took him in. That was established in 1984.

I'm a few episodes behind, but I had to come here and talk about one aspect of this episode:

Deidre Hall, Deidre Hall, Deidre Hall.

RC gave DH a chance to shine in a way that she has not been allowed to do in years. God, DH was great in her scenes. She made Hattie totally sympathetic and human, a woman who just wanted to be loved but kept getting in her own way with bad and worse decisions. Hattie saying "Don't touch my stuff" over and over was the first moment that this show has put a lump in my throat in *months*.

Brava to all involved!
