I don't view it as Nicole "worship" necessarily, but I am becoming increasingly fatigued with her story. They've tried so hard to rehab her, and I fear they're close to overcorrecting. There are several other characters, however, who I feel have been under corrected so far. I agree on the plot-pointy feel to the Lucas scenes. I think the hospital scenes should have been more fleshed out and aired over a few episodes. I mean, Abby was in the hospital for a month's worth of episodes. |

I think the Lucas scenes were the exact opposite of a plot point. If they had actually been a plot point, they'd have probably been a hell of a lot better. |

I feel like they knew Ari was on borrowed time so this was the only thing they were allowed to do until she left. It was a bad plan. |

Yes. As much as I'm enjoying Ericole, they need to be interacting with other characters. I think that was the nice thing about the Nicole/Abe scene aside from the throwback to history. I know it was still about Eric/Nicole, but it was still nice. I'm just adding this instead of doing another post. The end was what I think of as old school Ericole. For me it feels like the last two years of suck didn't happen in regard to Ericole. As someone that obsesses over Eric/Nicole although granted not as much as I used to, I adored the Abe/Nicole scene for the history of those two characters, but also because it was Abe during the rectory time that Nicole went to when she started having feelings for Eric. |

Chad and Abby scenes were filler and not interesting. Those scenes could have waited until tomorrow. I would rather see more of Lucas and the intervention gang. Brady is a wHinY brat. I cannot stand him. I wonder if Theresa will resurface at one point before Nicole leaves Salem. Brady used to think he loved her at one time in his life. Seemed like Nicole JUST got to work and all of a sudden she goes on her lunch break. Julie was kind of rude to Chloe. Whatever happened to Julie and Doug running that Bed and Breakfast business? Myron used to be in cahoots with Dario - now he is trying to buy the Club TBD? I think I read that this is the last we see of Myron for awhile. |

Makes sense that you had to do it. But to me it just looked like they had Lucas restrained to prevent him from going anywhere so they could all gather in his room and yell at him to get help. Unless, like I said, they explained why he was in restraints and I missed it. |

GV with kids is almost as awesome as shirtless GV. All jokes aside Greg with kids is made up of all kinds of win. Loved him with the kids who played Cam and Jake when he was Lucky on Gh. Edited by Tawanda, Sep 21 2017, 01:57 AM.

Today's show was strange. First, whether true or not or ever stated on the show, I've always kind of assumed that the Hortons were Lutheran and the Brady's were Catholics, so it's strange to me that Abby wants to get married at St. Luke's. Nicole talking to Abe was nice but I was so distracted by the fact they were discussing very serious matters right in the middle of HTS. Who decides what sets get used on this show? It's so random. I just hate how everyone on DAYS just randomly run into each other in public or whatever restaurant is up and running at the moment. The only characters that actually interact at home are old man Victor and that jerk Brady. BTW, I still can't stand Victor. He's like Trump, he just can't go a day without name calling. Anyway, I'm beyond tired of the random hook ups at random public places on the show. :yawnz: The Lucas stuff at the hospital was crazy. It was like Kate, Jennifer and Maggie were all laying on top of him on his bed screaming at him. If I was him I'd want to get the hell out of there too and deal with my addiction later... and it sure seemed like he got dressed in front of all the ladies :blulaugh: I dunno it was all just so OTT. IMO, everyone needs to back off and he'll get help when he's ready. Honestly they should rename this show Days of Our Drunks (and recovering addicts). I usually like happy couples, but Chad and Abby are driving me nuts. Can't we see them just being normal people instead of constantly teasing, joking and giggling with each other? Send Abby back to work. I don't know where Chad works but make him go away. I wish someone would ask Nicole why any man would be able to commit to her when she's gone through a collection of them in such a short time. She'd fall in love with a waiter if he offered her an extra napkin. Enough with the brother thing, please. They did not grow up together. They may be "step brothers" but not biologically at all and Eric has mostly resented Brady's dad and adult Brady still calls Eric's mother "Marlena". If you want me to think of these two as brothers, it can't be just because they call each other brother because of whatever woman they're interacting with together. Oh, and no way did I buy that Nicole wasn't conscious of the fact Eric was into her again. Edited by Rosebud, Sep 20 2017, 07:55 PM.

Maggie's screeching was awful! Those three women wailing and crying were enough to make me drink, and I'm practically a teetotaler. The best part of the show was Chloe and Julie. |

All I know is, if i was at my lowest and already feeling helpless, three women screaming at me while I’m restrained would be a sure fire way to help me feel better and see the error of my ways. |

In regard to the Horton's religious faith issue, but Marie Horton was religious sister. I had a friend who said that the Horton's weren't Catholic a couple of years ago, but the fact that Marie was a nun makes me think they were? Has it ever been established otherwise? |

Yea, I wasn't watching when Marie was on so maybe it was established they were Catholic but when I watched after that I never got that impression. Maybe when they brought the Brady's on they switched, LOL Oh, and when Reilly was head writer I think everyone was Catholic :blulaugh: |

The Hortons were not Catholic. It's one of the reasons the family was so surprised when Marie became a nun.

They used to be very intentional about keeping the Hortons out of St. Luke's. The baptisms, weddings, and masses were attended by the Bradys. If Hortons were there, it's because they were in relationships with Bradys. I've asked about Marie before, and I can't remember the answer. I'm pretty sure it was established the Hortons were Protestant, and maybe just Marie randomly decided to be Catholic? I'll see if I can get Matt to answer. |

I really enjoyed Chloe and Julie, they should be quite entertaining. Brady getting advice from Victor is never a good thing. But I enjoy Victor's jabs at people, but in small doses. Maggie, Jennifer, and Kate.....you can't make someone go to rehab, they have to want to go. I felt bad for Lucas. :( I liked Abe and Nicole. But I don't believe for one minute that Nicole doesn't know Eric has feelings for her again. He tried to kiss her for God's sake! I don't like what they are doing to Eric and Brady's relationship...not at all. Chad and Abby are acting too sweet. It doesn't feel real, to me. |

By far, one of the worst interventions I've ever seen. Horrible. Brady is such the Kiriakis.... ugh I'm ready for Nicole to leave...totally OK with me. I liked Julie and Chloe. For me, this was the weakest episode for the week. |
