I thought today was decent - not my cup of tea but ok none the less. What stood out to me was the writing for Hope and Nicole actually made them seem intelligent for a change. Actually, Nicole has been pretty good all week which is saying a lot since I am not a fan of the character. JJ/Lani were sort like flies on sh-t though.

My vote for Commissioner: Anyone but Rafe.
I want Abe in that role. Neither Rafe or Hope, or even Roman, deserve that position.

Brady's been a jerk for a long time. I'm not seeing his behavior as being completely out of character for him. Didn't he have some goons beat EJ up several years back? And what about his behavior during the Bristen era?
I agree. I tend to defend Brady, but lately he's been worse than ever and I'd say that is probably because I have a super soft spot for Eric. I could forgive Brady a lot until he turned on Eric. But in reality he has been an asshole plenty of times in the past. I just happened to enjoy him during the Bristen/Ericole stuff. But he does have a history of behaving pretty badly.

I enjoyed Eric and Chloe blabbing to each other. I feel like they've been hanging out with Julie so much lol

I just can't with all things rope. He is just awful and she continues to be way better without him.

Chad and Abby benefited from the 'gross Gabi was in our bed' chat but their stuff has seemed like filler/burning episodes for a while now

Brady Eric Nicole. EM is playing some layers here. He was stunned when he thought Eric fired Nicole in the beginning of the episode. I can't believe I'm defending him but what he overheard of Abe and Nicole DID sound suspicious. Now he's reacting like an angry toddler but that's a separate issue. I do feel like the added layer that Eric and Brady are brothers helps this story. I'm really looking forward to Brady and Marlena's reaction to Eric leaving town.

All I'm going to say about this snoozefest is that EM is doing some of his best work. Brady is the worst, but Eric is walking away with every scene he's in.

I feel like this is the most awake he's been in a long time. And I feel like he's playing layers and subtext for a change. Like with Theresa it was all so black and white. Same with all his Maggie shit last year.

Brady's jealousy is getting old.
I don't have a problem with Brady being jealous since his jealousy is actually justified based on the behavior of Eric and Nicole.
Their behavior justifies it now but it didn't before. He's kind of created this mess himself.
I don't see that Brady created the mess. The judge sent Nicole to the Horton Center for community service. The close proximity brought Eric's feelings brought Eric's feelings to the surface and rekindled Nicole's feelings for Eric as she began to see the man she fell in love with in the past.initially Brady acknowledged that he was jealous but tried to overcome his jealousy because it was wrong and he wanted Nicole to be happy. Now Eric and Nicole are choosing to work in close proximity with each knowing their feelings for each other have resurfaced.Brady is losing control of his jealousy because Chloe, not Eric, told him the truth about Eric's feelings for Nicole and he is hearing about couples who's love remained even though they had other partners like Doug and Julie,John and Marlena,Justin and Adrienne.Btady may be behaving badly but again I don't see how he created the mess.

I hold Brady partly responsible for the mess because he decided that he was in love with Nicole for the great reason that a bunch of people told him he was; because he pressured a reluctant Nicole to say she returned his feelings while she was completely dependent on him during the on-the-run phase; and because he completely ignored Eric/Nicole's past as a factor while doing all of this.

And to the extent that he ever had the moral high ground, he's thrown it away.

I think his behavior makes Eric look amazing and helped enlighten Nicole to feelings she probably didn't realize were there. Meanwhile, the only reason he's with Nicole right now is because he forced something that wasn't there for either of them.
