I liked a few parts of this episode, but it was otherwise pretty blah for a Friday.

The Jennifer/Eric scenes were probably my favorite scenes of the day. It was nice to see Eric semi-out of his Nicole bubble, and the emotions just felt very genuine. I also liked how Jennifer kind of challenged his reasons for leaving. Their last scenes together a few weeks ago felt a little off, but I felt the chemistry again today.

It's kind of sad when a day player (i.e. Jason) is a better actor than some of the contract cast. I think Bob Lambert should have more influence over the contract hires....

I'm confused. Are Sonny and Paul living in the Kiriakis Mansion? I thought they were living in the Martin House, but it seem liked they came downstairs for breakfast at the K-House. Oh, and Sonny earned his position at Titan? Um, didn't Victor just basically hand it to him?

I like some of the beats they're playing with the Will stuff. I think it's good internal conflict.

On the other hand, I loathe the Andre stuff. I didn't think Chad/Andre/Abby could get more insufferable...until they started using "bro" jokes. I know it's supposed to be light-hearted; I just think this version of their relationship sucks.
When Paul asked Sonny to move in with him at the Martin House, Sonny rejected the idea. His idea was that Paul move into HIS mansion (as if Victor would hand it over to Sonny) so apparently that is where they are living now. We hardly ever get to see the bedroom scene anyway to even recognize what house they are at.

Well, I expected this episode to be mostly insufferable but it turned out to be okay-ish. Okay-ish isn't necessarily what you want on a Friday, but it's better than what we were getting under Dena.

I did skip the Andre scenes. I will never be okay with Andre. If they want Thaao playing a character who big brothers Chad, romances Kate, and befriends Abby, it needs to be Tony. Andre is an unredeemed, unrepentant serial killer.

Abby and Jennifer planning the wedding and joking about previous bachelorette parties was sweet. It was filler, but pleasant filler. Eric taking his leave of Jennifer in person, and Jennifer challenging Eric's decision to leave, was a necessary beat to play.

I'm glad Ari Zucker decided to act again for her last hurrah. I thought she was very good as Nicole reading the letter and instantly wanting to track Eric down. (Sooo.... if Brady ever steals that letter and reads it, is he gonna be all "Tate who?") I'm also glad we get more Jason.

Sonny's dream of Will/Paul was well done. I enjoyed Brady refusing to throw a bachelor party for Sonny when he throws one for Paul, and I definitely enjoyed bad!Brady deciding not to hand Titan over to Sonny. Heh. Yeah, Titan should be Philip's but disturbingly enough bad!Brady is probably a better choice than Sonny to run Titan now for all the reasons he listed.

Paul is so emotionally generous. He wants Sonny to talk about Will. He follows up with Brady about Eric. And he wanted to postpone his wedding to take care of his mother/grandfather. Plus, I like it every time he speaks Japanese. Poor Paul doesn't deserve what he's about to get...

I really feel like the bricole / Eric drama is tired and overplayed, GV as Eric was so much light hearted and carefree when he was sharing scenes with jenifer, that I was pleasantly surprised, Jennifer brought that out of him, now he's back to boring, broody serious Eric again. This is what thinking about Nicole does to him.

-Wilson new kiss from a Dream
-Sonnys dream was he was happy he was still with Will Son wakes up Paul wants to hear about the dream
-Brady sees Nicole off to work hearing how she loves her job
-Jen and Abi last fitting
-Andre has something important to discuss with brothaaaa Chad
So Sonny's dream was about a kiss? Was it in bed? Or were they out in public somewhere (like Horton Town Square)? I thought maybe Sonny visited the cemetery and maybe saw a vision of Will but apparently not. (There was that tweet or Instagram of T-Boz in the cemetery dancing around).

Yes! I can't believe how much more appealing Eric is in scenes with Jennifer.

They were in bed. Sonny opened his eyes to Will, and they talked about how glad they both were that Sonny came home from Paris and saved their marriage. Then Will asked why, if Sonny loved him so much, he would marry Paul. Then Sonny rolled over and saw Paul on his other side and Paul asked Sonny why he was thinking of Will.

Then Sonny woke up for real to find Paul fussing over him because he'd obviously had a nightmare.

I agree. I think having a new character like jenifer be romantically involved with Eric has done wonders for Eric. When he was with jenifer I had never seen Eric be so lighthearted before in a long time, it brought a smile to my face. My favorite scene was the scenes at the pub. I also liked that this gave Jen a chance to bring out her inner Alice Horton by encouraging Eric and being so kind to him after he was feeling so guilty about Daniel, this is the kind of story I liked. I honestly feel as if Ron is trying to put ericole back together because the show failed to explore them properly after the fos scenes, which was fitted better back then and he's doing it now even after the potential with jeneric, jmo.

This party/wedding planning is such bullshit... I don't care. At.all. Except for Paul. Just Paul.

Does anyone remember the last episode AZ didn't cry in?

I don't think Brady or Sonny could run a successful lemonade stand...

LOL at Brady's glee when Jason told him he was covering Nicole's duties.

Enjoyed Jennifer's and Eric's chat.

Boring episode

I agree with so much of this!

Today definitely was not like last Friday but it had a few anvils that made it ok like you said.

That dream at the beginning where Sonny looks torn between Will & Paul-- oh yeah, it's coming. hit us over the head some more, lol. I thought it was kind of nice that Brady wants to throw a big blow-out for Paul. I think he's one of the few people Brady is still nice too, lol. I do think poor Paul may get screwed and he's so nice, trying to consider everyone's feelings.

I wonder do we get to keep Jason? As a day player, he's a good actor, and I wouldn't mind seeing him again at the Horton Center:) I think we're headed somewhere too with Nicole upset that Eric left, especially if she/or Marlena find out Brady was the reason.

I don't care about Andre/Chad. We see the first Chabby wedding anvil with Justin's call so we have lots up in the air as we head into wedding festivities week.

This was a pretty slow episode for a Friday. What I will say about it was FS and CM have major chemistry ... that kiss ... they went for it. I saw more chemistry between Sonny and Will in that dream than I've ever seen between Paul and Sonny.

I hate that Eric is back to being a martyr all in the name of Nicole's happiness. It didn't work before, it wasn't a good look on him before and nothing has changed ... it still doesn't work and it's still not a good look on him. Eric deserves so much more than pining after Nicole especially when we all know she isn't around much longer. Hopefully Nicole doesn't betray Brady by sleeping with Eric. If they are going to do the deed before she leaves I want her moved out of the K mansion and on her own with Holly.

The best parts of the show for me were the Jen / Eric scenes and Eric's letter. I think he said a lot in both. He may not have spelled it out for Jennifer but she knows him so well that she was able to read in between the lines. And she's right, he's not moving on, he's running away. He should have told Nicole everything. That Brady confronted him and that he admitted to Brady that he still had feelings for her which he had no intention of acting on and that Brady ordered him to fire Nicole and then let the chips fall where they may. I'm sorry but Nicole's not worth the sacrifice. I seriously can not wait until Nicole finds out what Brady did and I hope she blasts him to high heaven before she dumps his sorry behind.

Poor Victor, he's never going to be able to retire. Now Brady and Sonny are going to be playing their macho games and the company will again suffer from a lack of leadership. Vic needs to fire them both and bring back Philip who rightfully should be the CEO of Titan.

Jen and Abby was okay.

They work so hard on trying to sell Andre as this family man who cares for his brother and the family business but NOTHING changes the fact that the man is a sociopath, a serial killer. If he's not Tony brainwashed into believing he's Andre then he should be gone.

So I guess the cliffhanger was Abby's annulment possibly not happening. You know maybe if I cared more about the upcoming wedding it might have had a little more impact but I don't so it was just blah.

Just started watching.... I wonder how many times today it will be referenced that Eric and Brady are brothers? And sorry, but it counts even if said in one of the very frequent flashbacks used in this storyline.

I know where Andre's been.... shopping in Europe for a new jacket he's going to use in a music video apparently.

Jennifer's hair looks almost untreated today! Nice

Brady wants to work from home again today in the family room that has a conveniently located booze station.

Dead Will was exhausted from his visit with drunk Lucas and has to crash somewhere...

Nicole's hair today reminds me of Shirley Temple.

So today was alright.

I like the idea behind all of the wedding stuff. The show hasn't done great with wedding prep the last several years, so I like the idea of that. The Chabby stuff really takes a hit because of Chad's fake family. The whole thing with Andre was both terrible and ridiculous (and often historically inaccurate).

The PaulSon stuff was semi-interesting. The dream was good, but I laughed out loud when they first showed Chandler's face. I like how that was supposed to be right after Sonny returned from Paris. I think it's kind of interesting how Sonny clearly doesn't want to talk about Will. He practically ran from the room. I LOVED how CS played it when Sonny stopped himself from saying "when Will and I got married." I also liked that when he heard about Paul's grandfather, Sonny immediately offered to delay the wedding BUT it didn't play out like him trying to get out of the wedding.

The Brady/Sonny stuff was awful because both of them are awful. The dialogue wasn't quite right, and they both just suck. Plus I don't care about Titan and their living room business. Brady is due a pretty big fall soon, though.

I enjoyed Jennifer today. Marci continues to suck in all contexts, but Missy seems to be the one person who can make up for it. They don't have chemistry either, but unlike with pretty much everyone else, their lack of chemistry doesn't negatively affect Missy who still comes across like a natural mom.

Jason taking the job was a nice surprise. I hope we get to keep him in some capacity. I thought AZ did a good job with all of her reactions today, too. She has really stepped it up the last few weeks, and I'm relieved.

The Eric/Jennifer stuff was good. So. It's weird. I've been liking the Ericole stuff recently. I think they're the better pairing. HOWEVER. I still really like Jen/Eric, and I actually like Eric the individual better with Jennifer than I do with Nicole. He's just lighter and more like a person. I like who Jennifer is around him, too. She finds her spunk. It's just odd to me. I'm not sure I've ever had that kind of conflicting experience between characters and couples before. On the one hand, I don't want Jennifer in a relationship where she's constantly having to build the other person up. On the other hand, I don't want Eric in a relationship where he's constantly having to be selfless to accommodate someone else's issues.

Meanwhile, I think both are hot together. Even that forehead kiss was hot. I love Jennifer, and I love Jack and Jennifer, but I can honestly say that "hot" isn't something I thought I'd ever say about a Jennifer pairing.

Also, Ericole have some MAJOR J&M 90s vibes. If that farmhouse were a plane...
