I remember Jennifer dated both Jack and Daniel for a while, they had to spilt the nights of the week, it was awkward. But soon after she picked Jack, I believe. I don't remember Jen being really mean to him but I think Abby was.

I never thought of Jennifer as being mean to him, but I thought it was ridiculous that Daniel was written as any sort of legitimate competition for Jack, especially when the reason for Jack's absence was revealed. The fact that she couldn't make up her mind for so long bothered me.

"Why can't you just be happy, Jack?" to PTSD-stricken Jack. I hated Jennifer. She definitely favored Dr. Douche over Jack. Her reaction to Dan having shaky hands and going away for a bit was ott. You'd think he received a terminal diagnosis. She was also angry at Abby for inviting Jack to the ornament hanging. The triangle sucked.

Did she pick Jack or was it Daniel left and she settled on Jack?
Maybe mean isnt the correct word but she did treat him like he was a nuisance most of the time. She cried to Jack over losing
Daniel. Their reunion was drama free.

It never felt like J/J were the rooting couple

At the time Daniel was the male lead on the show and even if we didn't like Jennifer & Daniel the show did put an effort into building there relationship into a romance. I understood Jennifer's outlook. Jack taking off became a pattern in her life & she resented him for it, it wasn't easy for her to trust him or let that fear go. Yes Jack was kidnappd and tortured against his will, but prior to that he made a consious decision to put himself in harms way, to chase a story and withhold the truth from Jennifer initially. I thought part of the entire reunion between she and Jack was her weighing in on her life & happiness and it did make sense to me. She had a checkered past with Jack and while he is and was the love of her life, she craved stability. Daniel gave her that stability and she enjoyed that aspect of things. Watching Jack's end of the storyline, while not well told. He expressed remorse because of his action, he felt his life had been altered via being held captive, tortured and kept from his family & Jennifer. He expressed how he had finally realized just what everyone meant to him & how he took that for granted often before in the pursuit of something else.
He vowed to never do that again, that he had been forever changed by his experience.
That is what brought them back together, she trusted him & he promised to put her first.

Poorly told & an awful storyline setup, but I personally thought Jennifer's actions were understandable. The problem for anyone who loved and enjoyed Jack & Jennifer is that it's hard to understand why the show has no real interest in keeping the charcter of Jack on the canvas. Clearly MA would want to come back, so it's not because the actor made a choice not to have Jack around, it's TPTB's choice. Unlike PR who simply doesn't wish to be on the show.

Oh my gosh, wasn't that the multi-day wailfest before Daniel was gone for like a week? I had forgotten about that. Now I'm mad all over again.

Nicole finds out Eric is in love with her and it changes everything for her? If true kind of verifies she was with Brady for the wrong reason.
It also verifies she doesn't know her own mind or her own heart and lives life on a whim with no true thought to anyone or anything other than satisfying whatever emotional void she has going on at the moment.

I really, REALLY liked this character pre-Daniel but everything since makes me want to hurl.
I agree with you. Nicole has been in love with three other men in the past year, she repeatedly chose Daniel over Eric, was engaged to Deimos and was planning her HEA with Brady 5 minutes ago. I don't buy this sudden turn toward Eric. If Tan came back from the dead next month she would forget about Eric in 10 seconds. She's a joke.
ITA.

I much preferred watching Nicole when she was flawed and screwed up a lot. Now she doesn't even appear to drink anymore. This dame is zigging all over the map and it's not entertaining. Ericole could have been a great story but it has been so screwed up I don't care anymore. Just go away Nicole. Eric can find someone else-after a while.

I agree with this entirely. The story was not particularly well-written, but I was always irritated that everybody overlooked the fact that Jack lied to Jennifer about why he was leaving and where he was going BEFORE he got captured. She had every right to have some doubts and concerns when he returned, even after learning what had happened. Jack being captured and tortured was awful, but it didn't change the fact that Jack lied to, and left, Jennifer. She still gets to be upset about that.

I didn't think she was mean to Jack when he returned, at least not after learning the truth of where he had been. I thought she was genuinely conflicted. People may not have liked that conflict, but I never felt it was something that wasn't supported by what Jack had done or by the relationship she had with Daniel before Jack returned.

Whether it's Bo/Hope, Jack/Jennifer or Steve/Kayla, those men were not always easy to love, they made a lot of mistakes. I don't think it's fair to get mad at the women everytime they don't forgive quickly enough.

I agree with you, completely. For me, especially, there were several
times I thought Hope just overlooked and forgave some of the things
Bo did, too easily. To be fair, though, Bo did the same for her a few
times, but I don't think it was as often.

LMAO about Victor and Bonnie. I wish Maggie would be like peace Victor. I'm going back to the Hortons.

That's going to be a disaster between Eric Nicole and Brady

LOL at Bonnie blackmailing Victor into marriage. I cannot wait to see everyone's reactions. Bonnie has to be one of the biggest breaths of fresh air this show has seen in years.

Story would have been better if Nicole and Eric had waited and dealt with Brady first.... but I guess ticking clock and limited writer effort rule that option out.
